When the door to her apartment opened and Scorpius’s voice called out to her, Lucy didn’t bother leaving her bedroom to assess whatever damage he’d done to himself this time. She’d knew what it’d look like, more or less at least, and worked on gathering what she’d need to patch him up. Bandages, sterilizers, and the cream for her fucked up ballet feet.

Armed with her supplies, Lucy made her way out of her room and to the kitchen where she knew she’d find him. She could hear the crinkle of the crisp bag.

“If you’re going to insist on eating my absolute favorite crisps, which are very rare and I can only find in that one random shop in Bulgaria, then I will have to insist that you stop going on these outings of yours without me.” She dipped her hand in the bag to pull a few crisps out and popped them in her mouth. “Just looking at your bruised face is not enough of a thrill for me. Though, it’s still pleasant.”

A smirk formed on Scorpius's face once Lucy entered the kitchen, all dry wit and sass, just the way he liked her. He rolled his eyes at her, taking another handful of chips and shoving it in his mouth, chewing rudely to make a point. “I’m sorry Ms. Weasley, I am but a meager journalist, I can’t afford such delicacies, have a little heart.” He mocked, jutting his lip out in a pout, only to wince when the action opened the cut on his lip again.

“What about my bruised knuckles.” He said, displaying a particularly gnarly gash across his hand. He grinned, almost feeling prideful for his scrapes, his therapist would be so disappointed.

“C’mon fix me up and I’ll take you out for fish n’ chips. If you kiss the bandage I’ll even throw in a trip to Sugarplums.” He offered, jumping up on her countertops, making himself comfortable.

Scorpius had gone exactly 25 days and 13 hours without getting into a fight, well 12 days if you counted that altercation with his editor, which he did not. In his defense he didn’t start this one, he had actually been trying to break up a fight, it wasn’t his fault that both the guys involved in the fight had been assholes and he had to teach them both a lesson.

He was left with a black eye, a split lip, bloodied knuckles and nose, which was not totally uncommon for him. There was one person he could always rely on to fix him up after a fight, and not make him feel like a total asshole.

“Luce!” He called out, letting himself into her apartment like he owned the place, making a b-line to the kitchen, knowing that it would stocked with snacks. “Do you have any of that cream thing you used on your fucked up ballet feet? It did wonders for my knuckles last time.” He said, helping himself to a bag of crisps.

ABOUT

As a boy there was nothing Scorpius wanted more than to grow up to be just like his father. Astoria and Draco sheltered their son from the realities of their past, and Scorpius knew very little of his parents involvement during the second Wizarding War. It wasn’t until he arrived at Hogwarts when he became the subject to his peers bullying and torments that he learned of the crimes his father committed.

The sorting hat desperately wanted to sort Scorpius into Ravenclaw, but all Scorpius wanted was to be in Slytherin like his parents and the hat gave in. This would be a decision that Scorpius would regret for the rest of his time at Hogwarts. Not long after arriving at Hogwarts he become disillusioned by his parents, feeling hurt and betrayed that they would hide their past from him and throwing him to the wolves.

Scorpius was technically a genius and his IQ was off the charts, and he was leaps and bounds beyond the other students in his class. He easily excelled in his classes, leaving Scorpius bored and wanting more from his classes. His boredom manifested in aggression and despite being the smartest he quickly became Hogwart’s ‘problem student’. He would starts fights – magical, verbal and physical –, talk back to his teachers, blow off class, and became a regular in detention. Despite his immense intelligence he barely graduated from Hogwarts.

After graduation all Scorpius wanted to expose the truth, so he became an investigator reporter for the Daily Prophet. He is known for writing brutally honest exposés, not caring who he pisses off or what bridges he burns in the process. He will do anything to get the scoop, and he stops at nothing to expose the dirty underbelly of the wizarding world.

Scorpius has never been a particularly social person, and would always prefer to stay home and work or walk his dogs than go out and socialize. He has always struggled making close friendships, what with his ingrained distrust for people and raging anger issues. He’s currently working with a therapist to get his temper under control.
