It might not be rational but I'm really not vibing with the can't hurt sinners curse/clause on Lucifer.

Give me dorky LuLu but I also want the King of Hell if that makes sense.

I think it would have been better if it was a ruse.

Alternate take:

Lucifer sensed the eavesdropping on his talk with Vaggie but he still says he more or less can't hurt sinners just to test it. If anybody brings it up then he's found the mole/spy.

The Vox confrontation still happens but it DOES NOT end well for Vox.

This time he even plays the clip as extra proof to hammer it in to the audience.

Camera pans to Lucifer after who has his face shadowed by his hat.

Vox looms over him gloating and thinking he's won.

Lucifer just raises his head revealing a smug amused expression.

Lucifer: Wanna know another secret Box? I lied.

Then he proceeds to punch his arm through his screen.

I actually like it, but this is a fun scene idea! He punches out/kills Vox and scares away the sinners and then goes and carries Alastor away as his prize over his shoulder lol.
