Why do alien planets in media only ever have one language? We have hundreds of languages on earth so it wouldn’t be crazy to assume that a different planet who’s possibly even more advanced than we are would have more than one language.

I wanna see a human spending months (if not years) learning an alien language in preparation on language on that planet, and when they get there the aliens don’t even understand the human since aliens in that part of the world don’t speak that language and it’s actually more commonly spoken on the complete other side of the planet.

I find it funny how comics will just end the issue with a happy last page, then at the bottom it will say some shit like “next: The whole family dies!” Like damn okay…
