Ladies 💋💁🏽♀️ and Gentleman 🧍🏼♂️. You have exhibited patience ⏳ focus 🤔 and 🤣🤣🤣 weathered 🌦️ some surprises 🤯 along the journey 🚶🏻♂️of this trial 👨🏽⚖️. But👆🏽 it’s always been my assumption — Polly — that you’ve never lost sight 👓🔎of the truth ✊🏽behind this case.

compiling a list of contemporary films n tv that all share a certain type of gay/girl lense, dark comedy, zillennial brand of doom/desire/awkwardness, and often (a real feat imo) an acknowledgement of current technology that doesnt feel too dated or distracting. id say Search Party is kind of the gold standard of this genre. Bottoms is a bit of an outlier since its so crazy and funny in a classic way, but i still want to acknowledge it.
i obviously love adrienne shelly and araki. respectively, Waitress and The Living End could be on this list if they werent older films though one prob leans too camp for this list and the other leans too dark.
if u can kind of feel the vibe of this loose genre of movie/tv please feel free to reply with anything u think i should check out.
