I don’t know about you, but right now I feel like the world needs all the feel-good moments it can get. Happy to have been a part of creating one for my friends at @firefliagency. The goal was to quickly tell the story of a relationship between a caregiver and a client. Hope it makes you smile.

Directors cut of a tourism film I did for Visit Alleghany Highlands.

Proud to finally be able to release this brand film (this is the director’s cut) I directed for Virginia Tech College of Agriculture and Life Sciences last year. I shot a good portion of it too, but was happy to have the talented @tommypenick DP the important scenes. “Dirt as a badge of Honor” portrait series commissioned as part of the Virginia’s Blue Ridge tourism campaign, shot fall of 2018.  Since these portraits were part of a video and still project shot on location, we had to build the studio at each of our outdoor locations.

Billings Montana Tourism

This summer past week had the great fortune to shoot a film and still campaign for Montana’s Trail Head...Billings , Montana, tourism.  Many long days, but with scenes like these, who could complain?

We were hired to create a mountain biking branding film for Virginia’s Blue Ridge, the CVB for the Roanoke Valley region.  They gave us a budget and some locations and said just do something cool.  What a great client!  This is what we produced.

Though we primarily focus on the tourism industry, we also serve clients in the industrial sector as well as in higher education.  This selection is from a one day shoot for Lawrence companies and it covered vehicle, corporate and industrial photography in quick setups at multiple scenes.

I’ve taken a break, maybe a permeant one, from social media.  Trying to decide if can find a way to have it function as a tool and not a master.  Increasingly it seems that as a society we’re letting our tools and technology dictate the terms of our existence, pushing us further and further into an artificial existence.  

Still, I like to write a bit.  And share some photos from my journey.
