My top 5 films of 2012
Whisky Quest #8
 ### Ardbeg Galileo #### Why? Because I found it in a shop in my new home of San Francisco and was it excited to get some due to it being completely sold it out (ironically) in Scotland. #### Verdict The whisky has a really interesting taste: initial peat and smoke associated with a standard Ardbeg and but with a stronger hit due to the extra alcohol (49%) and age. There was also overtones of bourbon and a sour/fruity finish that both add a twist to make this a bit special.
Happy Halloween!
My top 5 films for Halloween (for various reasons).

Whisky Quest #7
Finally picked up a bottle of [this](http://www.royalmilewhiskies.com/product.asp?pf_id=0010000032512). Its on the tiny whisky menu at my favourite restaurant which often marks anniversaries/birthdays with my girlfriend and tastes pretty damn brilliant. As you can imagine, its one of my favourites.
Me and my cousin (@jamesscdow).
I've watched this a couple of times since it came out and I think its my favourite documentary of the year. A brilliant look into what it means to create something.
COMING ALIVE.
WAT?! Guessing the fact that it 00:26 in GMT+1...
Seems to be fixable by setting config.time_zone in application.rb to your local timezone. Hmmmm...

echo v1.1
I recently pushed a new version of my FRP framework for Scala 'echo'. This version brings with it the addition of a 'foldLeft' function for Events, performance tweaks and bug fixes. As you might guess, the most significant change is 'foldLeft'. This allows for rolling calculations over all of an Event's occurrences. For instance, we could sum the values of an integer Event's occurrences like so: val event = Event[Int] val sum = event.foldLeft(0) { (old, new) => old + new } Here 'sum' would be a Behaviour[Int] who's value at any point in time would be the sum of the all the occurred values of 'event'. Documentation for the new version is up [here](http://www.seadowg.com/echo/target/doc/index.html#package) and you can check out the framework on [github](http://www.github.com/oetzi/echo).
