Phil smiled softly as he turned his head to the side and hummed a little, he wished he was a little braver, he knew that he'd spoken out about how much he hated the house, especially when he was alone, it made weird noises and he hand likened it to the house from the shinning. He took a few moments to take in the younger male in his full form instead of the pixelated image that was on the screen. He shuffled nervously on his feet and whispered softly "I don't mind sharing the bed, it's big enough for two....unless you'd find it weird....then....that's fine....I mean yeah.... forget it, it’s stupid"

Phil had wrapped his arms around Dan as the other had hugged him and had taken in the others scent he clung to him for a few moments taking in the warmth and the way the others body felt against his own ,making it his mission to not forget this moment. He was shaking slightly and tried to not show how nervous he was of not messing up in front of him. He was only slightly taller than the younger male he was currently trying to find his words his voice has been stolen by the pretty male.

“Of course I’m here I promised you I would be and I don’t go back on them”. He gave a shy smile then bit his lip “back to my parents ? We can perhaps drop your bags off then go out and explore Manchester I promised to show you around so you don’t get lost at uni”

“I’d love that, Phil, I would.” Dan sighed happily, hefting his suitcase (really an old duffel bag) to his chest to carry it more easily. His thin arms wrapped around the bag, and he gave Phil the smallest, sweetest smile.

This felt so new. He didn’t know his lines, but it seemed like maybe that was for the best. Phil was shy too, he could sense it, and perhaps the two would open back up to each other soon. After all, they’d been so open and easy online.

Real life couldn’t be that much different.

Phill wasn’t sure where this was going to go but the one thing he was sure if was that he’d finally found a friend someone who like him was shy and didn’t like the outside world and preferred his own company or those of strangers online in videos. Still he was sure in the next few days they would loosen up and find the comfort they had when they had been Skyping. But that’s what was the problem, with no screen between them it was just them and it was very real. He was trying so hard not to just kiss the younger boy. Sure they flirted a lot but it was different now he had to be more reserved.

After a short car drive they ended up back at Phils parents who were thankfully away for the week leaving Phil by himself , that was a thing he handnt gave a second thought to up until now. He showed Dan around and sighed “ I um ....guess I can either sleep on the floor or share the bed your choice”

Phil hated the fact that his nerves were getting the better of him, he had lost count the number of times he had checked and rechecked that Dan was on his way to see him and that he hadn’t somehow made the whole thing up and that he was, in fact, dreaming it into being. Why did he have to be so awkward, he’d been fairly forthcoming with his feelings, well in the most part anyway. Sure he was guarded at times but who wouldn’t be at the age of twenty-two he’d seen his fair share of heartbreak and hurt, now all he wanted was to be happy, and somehow, someway he thought the chocolate orbed younger male could offer that, and that he knew deep down this was possibly the start of a forever. A brighter future for them both. Hearing the train pull into the station he glanced up, his bright blue eyes scanning the sea of people streaming off the train, looking for him. Looking for the boy who had captured his heart with his soft voice and soft eyes. Soon his eyes found who he was looking for he took a step over cautious and careful as he spoke “Dan….Y.Your here”

“Phil,” Dan whispered, and he dropped his bag, rushing to the elder and hugging him tightly, face buried in his shoulder. “You’re real, oh my god you’re fucking real.” He stayed like that for a long, breathless moment, then finally stood to his full height, 5’ 9".

“I can’t believe I’m here…. or that you’re here to pick me up, or…. or anything.” He swallowed hard, moving to pick up his bag quietly. “So, uhm…. where to?”

Dan was…. nervous. Terrified. Trembling so hard his shitty phone was about to fall out of sweating palms. His education hadn’t prepared him with the words for this, much less the directions.

Where were his blocks? What were his cues? How would he know if this older, sweeter-than-his-years, ice-eyed boy truly held any affection for himself?

Before he could work himself into a real, proper panic, the train screamed its way into the station, and his brown eyes closed tight, as if wishing to wake up, before he was grabbing his backpack and small suitcase and stepping off.
