I’m probably not gonna design this.

I’m autistic and I’m a minor (kind of(?), I’m not comfortable with telling my age on here). I’m Aroace and Demigirl (she/they) (im still testing the waters for these, expect some changes).

You can call me either Seafoam or Lilac.

My DNI includes: ai artists, homophobes, ableists, Cintagonisupset (and people supporting this person, I never interacted but heard bad things about them so I just wanna take caution), problematic people (and supporters of those problematic people), NSFW (nud1ty, s3x, and anything of the like is not something I'm okay with), racists, transphobes, Mirai Toyama Animations, asking for money (giving and taking are not okay with me, i dont trust random people on the internet with my money). Not following these will result in a block from me! (Note: I’m okay with little/medium amounts of gore!)

this isn’t a DNI, but I’d still like to mention anyway: I don’t do commissions, I just simply draw for fun, so any asks for comms will be ignored, I’ll see them though

I am willing to interact with people that aren’t on the dni list, the dni list will probably update based on my experiences on here (and elsewhere).

my grammar and vocabulary isn’t the best, so if I misspelled something or just worded things differently, that would be why (another reason is avoiding saying the wrong things or bringing something up that should just be left alone)

I am very new to the tone tags, so say something if I get them mixed up or used them in the wrong way :,)

My current hyperfixation right now is The Pink Corruption.

Kirby because I’m starting to have a fluctuation with my hyperfixation, so it’s now Kirby (Kirby Right Back at Ya (KRBAY)/ Hoshi no Kaabii) and JSaB (The Pink Corruption (TPC))

I think I got pretty dang close with the general art style of it (forgot shading but it’s whatever), along with color too :3

so this happened to me earlier while I was playing the demo of Tomodachi Life, Iris is the third resident on the island I have, and also the one who tripped and I had Cube to help him up, then this happened

I do support the ship though :)

I know Iris looks a little weird, I tried to go based on what he actually looks like in the series (or at least as close as I can get him to be)

Idk if this is just me, but do you guys just find it kinda annoying how Cubic’s hair is just 2d? I certainly did ;w;

so I made a design for him that doesn’t make his hair 2d (though the view is just from the front and back)

Me and my friend @kittydoesthings went through the designs together and judged them based off of functionality, and appearance. (The fish is up there for joke reasons)

But one thing we noticed immediately was that a lot of the characters lacked accents, their entire color pallet is just different tones of one color. It makes all of it very muddy and can make it hard for them to be separated from certain kinds of backgrounds. So many designs I think could be way more visually interesting if they had white, black, or other accents to separate parts of their body, clothes, and faces.

I think Circubit suffers the most from this, he already has a lot of stuff going on in his design, and the slightly different shades of pink make it even more hard to read his already over designed appearance.

I get the corrupts are supposed to all be very very pink, but I still think you could add things like gold, grey, black, and white to separate them and have an easier time reading them.

Now this isn’t at all from a professional standpoint, this is just my opinion. But I feel like a lot of the characters are very mid, boring, or doing too much.

The reason why I had characters like the Sun, Rotocopter, and Ketches so high up is because they’re literally just the offical JSAB designs. Which are already peak character designs.

Dub is also high up there because I do think they use shape language relatively okay with him and I like that he has more black in his design, but I think he would greatly benefit from some white as well. (I can get more into specifics of his two forms but I’ll post that later :))

Dub is also my favorite character so this is definitely biased, so if you have any critiques about his design or any of the others please say so! I would love to hear everyone’s opinions.

What’s something YOU guys would like to see in the characters designs??

I feel like hue shifting could also work well with making the color palettes for them (as in keeping to the theme but with some shift in color for a couple things, like Cube's scarf could be a bit more purple, or his jacket/coat/cloak(?))

this is just something I wanna say for a while now:

I’m actually sad to see one of my favorite fandoms, that I’m currently hyperfixating on, is dying. I genuinely like to see more art from people in this fandom and just getting to see and interact with people in the fandom :(

do any of y’all agree with what I just said here? :(
