Seafrost @ Robin & Beth Fest 7.9.16 shot by Elizabeth Thorpe #robinandbethfest #seafrost #powerstance #shoegaze #elizabeththorpephotography (at Peaceful Woodlands Family Campground)
I’ve been super quiet about this, but Seafrost is actually playing its first show this weekend at a festival in Blakeslee PA. Here is a little clip from practice :) This will be the very first time I’ve played with a full band for this material. Insanely nervous, but there has to be a first time. In the future I will be more forthcoming about live shows for sure. Just kinda wanted to get through a show before inviting a bunch of people. We’re on at 11:30pm on Saturday. This show is quite a hike, for me at least, but if you are in the Blakeslee area and want to check it out, info on the fest can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1736800213198142
5 track album
Quick update! I’m happy to announce that the Shades Of Night EP is up on bandcamp and it is free! Initially I had hoped to record some new songs, but I think I’m going to bank those for a future release. The EP features: the original studio version of the song, a remix done by Marc- Andre Basile (of The Orange Drop), the home recorded demo, as well as the original home recorded demo of Rain and a demo of song I recorded for an older defunct project titled Carpathian Sunset. Should be an interesting listen. I personally love hearing the origins of songs, so I hope you enjoy these! Again, it’s free so download and share! More news soon!
So things have been seemingly quiet with this project as of late, however, this isn’t entirely true. Getting cd’s pressed was something I wanted to do ever since the album was finished. For a bunch of reasons, I wasn’t able to pull it off until now. Not feeling 100% satisfied with the original cover art I came up with, I got in touch with artist Josh Mahesh who came up with a truly amazing layout. Thanks to the folks at Sire Press in Philly, I’m proud to say that Echoics is now available on CD! The digital version has been available via bandcamp for some time now and I’m very grateful to everyone who has listened, shared and contributed to the album. It still blows my mind that people continue to discover this project despite my lack of promotion. If anyone was interested in the Waves In The Atmosphere cd, there are still some left. The digital versions for both albums are still free on bandcamp :)
Looking ahead, I still want to put up the remixed version of Shades Of Night. The additional song that I was working on long-distance with friend, came to halt and has yet to be finished. I’ll be putting something together for that soon! Beyond that, Evan (drummer) and I are starting up practices again, this weekend in fact. Our buddy Greg will be joining us on bass which is going to be great! We started practicing sometime last year, definitely looking to pick back up again.
In closing, I’ll say 2016 has been rather unpleasant for me so far, but I think getting Echoics out on cd is a positive step forward. It was one of the major things that I had hoped to accomplish this year so hopefully things will continue to turn around. Thanks for checking in and reading this! Take care!

Gearing Up
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, so here’s a little update! I’m looking at getting back into the studio in July to do two songs to release with the single “Shades Of Night”. On top of those two songs, will be an alternate mix of Shades done by Marc from The Orange Drop! It sounds fantastic and I can’t wait to share it with you all! Beyond that, I still have plans to do a small run of cds later on, no date for that yet. The live line-up is in the works as well.
I’ve been demoing some new material here and there, which has led me to start looking at effects pedals again :) I kinda checked out of that game after guitars were done on the album, but I’m back on the prowl. If anyone is interested, I decided to post the gear behind sounds you’re hearing on the new album. Here we go:

Thank You!!!
The Seafrost album has only been out for a little over a week and already has 839 plays on bandcamp of today! That is unbelievable! Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has listened, downloaded and shared this thing around! Also, I feel that is made to be shared, not sold, but I greatly appreciate everyone who has contributed along with downloading. It is still blowing my mind how rapidly this album is getting out there! Thank you again for supporting and taking an interest in this little project. I probably sound like a broken record, but it really does mean the world to me. I’m grateful for everything! Take care and THANK YOU :)
Very happy to share the first Seafrost interview ever! http://theblogthatcelebratesitself.blogspot.com.br/2015/04/black-metallic-with-seafrost-interview.html

Today is the day! After almost 2 years of off and on recording, I’m very excited to finally announce that our new album “Echoics” is finally out! It’s been a long long time coming, but hopefully it will be worth the wait! It took a lot of work get this one done, nothing came easy. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out and am very thankful for everyone who was involved with it. The album is up on bandcamp digitally for now, with a small run of cd’s to come sometime over the summer. I’ve chosen to release it as pay-what-you-want or free so by all means, please don’t feel obligated to spend for it. Seriously! It really means the world to me to be able to have people finally hear this stuff. Download, share and enjoy! Hope you dig it and thanks for checking in!
Hello! Got some good news to post about! The new album is 100% mixed and is currently being mastered! After all of the delays and hold-ups, I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Can't wait to get this thing out there! I'm thinking late March, early April for release! In the mean time, I'm proud to share this teaser video I put together. Enjoy and stay tuned!
My new sounds:
Getting a little restless waiting to go back for more mixing soooo I just posted a song off of the new album titled Hours. Not sure if this will be the final mix on this one, but I like it so far :) Turn it up!
Well, here we are drifting into the month of October. Sadly, the release date I had planned for the album (which would have been late summer) has been missed. Things are happening though! Since I last posted, everything instrumentally and vocally is finished 100%. We are in the mixing stage right now. Mixing is going well, but like everything else with this album, it's taking longer than expected. So far we have decent mixes for 4 of the 10 songs. Tomorrow I'm going back for another mixing session and will probably need at least one more. Maybe I'll post a clip of something after this session, we'll see.
Without going into great detail about all of the delays, I'll just say this: take it from Ringo Starr, it don't come easy :)
Soooo, last week Carla got up to Red Planet to record her vocals for the new album! Things went pretty well! It's such a good feeling to finally hear all of the parts together. We're almost at the stage where we can get this thing mixed / mastered! Stay tuned, more new soon!
BIG night tonight! I'm headed to the studio to finally do vocals for the new album! We're getting closer and closer! I'd say one more session after this for Carla's vocals and then we should be mixing and mastering. Can't wait! Singing inspiration for the night goes to Young Frankenstein
