Legally Blonde is such an underrated musical. I mean, a lot of people just write it off as the musical that literally every high school theatre company has performed at least once, but it’s actually really fucking good. Like all the songs are bops and the story is great. Plus the romantic subplot isn’t over done and is just subtle enough to be believable. It’s just great so y'all need to appreciate Legally Blonde: The Musical more please and thank you

A/N: This was requested by my lovely doggo anon! On a fluffy scale, they requested ‘husky fur’, so I knew I really had to bring it all. I will confess, when I sat down to write this, I did not read the ask thoroughly enough so I completely forgot you wanted it related to family issues and insecurities - I’m sorry! I used the prompts though, and I’m super happy with how it turned out, so I hope that’s all okay. Happy reading <3

Tom’s voice is quiet and scratchy as he speaks down the phone line and from the moment the first syllable greets your ears, you know something’s wrong. Normally his voice carries a soft lilt, his words following curves as he chatters away about everything and anything, but tonight… Tonight, he sounds different.

“-So yeah, it’s been pretty difficult if I’m being honest,” he finishes, and you hear a loud sigh follow his explanation. You’d asked him how his day was, and you’ve now gathered that it’s been pretty difficult. From early-morning rises to being chased down the street by a few persistent paparazzi, he’s sounding so down in the dumps that it makes your heart ache. You hate hearing him upset.

“Do you want to come over?” You suggest, voice soft. It’s early evening and you’ve got nothing planned. You’ve not seen your boyfriend since he’d leapt out of bed yesterday morning, shrieking about being late for set, and already the withdrawal symptoms are setting in. You’re a new couple, you and Tom - only been official for a week - but already your feelings are coming hard and fast. He’s constantly on your mind, and sure, inviting him over is primarily so you can try to cheer him up, but it’s also to sate that hollow feeling numbing away in your heart.
