“Nah, I just really like science-y stuff,” Serah shrugged and jotted down something in her planner, “I was hoping this class wouldn’t be so bad but Bio usually get’s me all turned around because there’s two doors.” She sighed and stared at her planner, full of assignments and little notes feeling overwhelmed already on the first day.

“I had that problem last year, those doors know how to throw people off,” she replied with an understanding tone in her voice. “Just make sure you always use the door on your left, then the lab is down the hall and to your right~.”

Serah sighed and smiled, “I’m Serah. This is what I get for taking a senior level class, I should have just stuck with AP Physics.”

"Oh~? So you must be really smart, yeah?" she queried, leaning in a little closer. Something about Serah was interesting to Aerith, and while she couldn't put her finger on it, she was going to figure it out sooner or later. "This class shouldn't be too bad. As long as you turn in your homework on time, you should be okay."

“Shoot!” Serah threw her planner in her bag and nearly ran to get to the lab just in time before the bell rang with a class full of people staring at her she managed to slide into the only open seat.

Coincidentally, Aerith had been headed to the same class the pink-haired girl had been asking about...and the only empty seat was next to her. Once the other student was seated, the senior leaned over, palm resting on her cheek. "Looks like you got here in time, huh? I'm Aerith," she introduced herself with a smile.

“Would anyone know where the computer lab is from here? I always get so turned around after Bio,” Serah frowned and asked to any passerby.

"Down the hall and to your right!" Aerith called out to the girl as she kept walking. "You better hurry up or you're going to be late," she added, looking over her shoulder.

“It’s very nice to see you Aerith. I need a friendly face every once in awhile.” He said smiling, “I am in tip top shape. I am the fastest Turk there is. Only second in command to Tseng. I am a bad ass.” Reno looked at the familiar face and smiled, she hadn’t changed very much. Still very caring, long hair, always happy. Yep, still the same Aerith. “How have you been? How do you like Zack being home?”

"I've been good~ Still trying to get used to all of the different people and how friendly they are~. It's nothing like Midgar." Aerith tucked a wisp of hair behind her ear, looking up at the sky. "I'm really happy he's back~," she looked back to Reno and smiled. "Now I just have to hope he doesn't get any calls right away..."

Reno sighed exhausted and stood up, straightening his clothes then turning to go to the ladder that would lead him back to the ground. He climbed down it and walked around the building to meet the familiar face. “You want so much from me today… First i have to put out my cigarette THEN I have to get down from my favorite spot.” Reno smiled, “You’re lucky your Zack’s girlfriend and really nice or I just wouldn’t have done it…”

"Hah! It's nice to see you, too, Reno," Aerith replied with a chortle. "I was just trying to save your health, is all~. Don't the Turks need to be in tip-top shape, too?" She smiled teasingly, resting a hand on her hip. It was already clear that the red head hadn't changed very much at all.

The Turk felt a smile spread across his face hearing the familiar voice, he looked down trying to find the familiar face through all the people.  He finally caught sight of the female and smiled, he took the cigarette out of his mouth and pressed it against the cement on the roof causing it to extinguish, then dropping it into the trash can on the ground. He looked back to the girl and smiled, ”Happy now?”

Aerith nodded. "Much better!" She smiled, lifting an arm to gesture him to come down from his perch. How long had it been since the last time she saw Reno? Usually he would be the one finding her, but it was amusing how the tables were turned this time around.

“I’ve noticed, his spikes are drooping whenever I see him… She has a reason to worry, you see the way she looks at him.” He nodded his head, running his hand through her hair to lightly trace over the ribbon then the jade bead he had bought for her within it. The small trinket brought a brighter smile to his face, the fond memories flooding his mind for a moment. One of the few stolen moments they had luckily shared, hopefully this time more would be had. 

“I just… all I know is I want to be here as long as I possibly can.” His hands slid back up to cradle her face in softly, tilting her head up to look at him properly. It wasn’t hard to be entranced by the gentleness in her face, her eyes… her soul. Just one look and he was trapped, not that he minded anyway. Slowly he pressed his forehead to hers, his heart thumping loudly in his chest in uncertainty as his thumb traced over her lower lips. “Aerith… my only duty right now… right here is to you. Just give me a single order… from your beautiful lips and I’ll do whatever you ask.”

"She really cares for him, doesn't she?" she queried, leaning into his touch. Aerith felt Zack's fingers gently move across her ribbon, encouraging her to smile fondly at the SOLDIER. "Are you surprised I still have it?" While most would see her ribbon as nothing more than a simple accessory, that strip of pink fabric was one of the Cetra's most important belongings. It held so many treasured memories and was something she would never part with. The most important remembrance being its purchase and the night that came with it. 

Her cheeks began to flush as Zack's hands tenderly held her face, hanging on to every word that left his lips. This is what she had been waiting for all that time, to be this close to the SOLDIER that had left so long ago, and it was becoming a reality. Aerith was so easily captivated by every sound and movement Zack made, her heart feeling as if it would burst out of her chest at any moment. Emerald hues kept themselves fixated on him the entire time, almost at a loss for words when it was her turn to speak once more.

"I...," and then it all clicked. There weren't words good enough to express what she wanted, or how she felt. Being this close was what she had always wanted--to be inseparable. And before she knew it, Aerith was lifting herself on her tiptoes, gingerly pressing her lips to his while her lids fluttered to a close.

Hello, Phoenix Down! 

Soon, we’ll be kicking off our next event: A High School Alternate Universe week, where starting Monday, September 3rd until Sunday, September 9th, all of Phoenix Down* will be turned into Moogletown High School: Home of the Fighting Mogs!

Not only will you be attending classes, but each day will have it’s own unique event. You can join clubs, sports teams, and much more!

However, in order to make this amazing even happen, we need volunteers for teachers.

If you’d like to be a teacher, please send your character’s name and a choice of three subjects we can pick from to Moogletown. First come, first serve! We’re only accepting a maximum of EIGHT teachers. We will be taking teachers up until Wednesday, August 29th.

Each day has it’s own special event. More information about the event will be posted on the day of the event.:

Monday: Student Council, club, and team sign-ups

Do you think you have what it takes to run a school? Do you want to meet a group of people whose interests are similar to yours? Love playing Blitzball? Love Cheerleading? Well now’s your time to shine! 

You have until 11:59 PM on Wednesday, August 29th to submit a suggestion for a club! A list of clubs will be posted Monday morning. 

There are only two sports teams here at Moogletown High: the Blitzball Team, and the Cheerleading Squad. Everyone is welcome to try out for either team! 

Day 2: Talent Show

Have a talent you’d like to show off to your fellow classmates? Then get ready for the Talent Show! Sign-ups will take place leading up to the day. 

Day 3: Pep Rally

The biggest blitzball game of the year approaches, and the cheerleading squad is ready to get the school pumped and full of Fighting Mog pride! Don your red white and gold and prepare for a day of games, cheer, and fun!

Day 4: Student Council Elections

All candidates, I hope you’ve campaigned well and prepared your speeches! Today is the day you’ll give your speeches and the student body will cast their vote to see who wins positions in the Student Body Office!

Day 5: Blitzball Game

It’s Moogletown High vs their long-time rivals, Cosmos High in the most epic blitz-off of the year! Who will win, The Fighting Mogs or Shit, I Forgot? Attend the game and find out!

Day 6: Prom

Get ready for the biggest dance of the school year- Prom! Grab your ties, corsages, and maybe a date, because this year’s prom is going to be unforgettable. 

Day 7: Chocobo Forest Camping Trip

Packs on your back and boots on your feet, it’s time to hit the road for some good old-fashioned camping fun! Spend a day with your classmates chasing chocobos in the forest, cooling off in a nearby stream, or maybe roasting some marshmallows. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a white chocobo! Or if you’re not so lucky, a black one…
