The most important thing I've learned from the AI boom is that decisionmaking is a muscle that atrophies very rapidly. People who regularly use chatgpt can no longer imagine what life was like without chatgpt because they quite literally delegated all their imagination to a chatbot and no longer have the mental stamina to do it for themselves.

Someone made the analogy a while back that asking chatgpt to help you write an essay is like going to the gym and asking a robot to help you lift the weights.

I am not exaggerating at all when I say these people have actual fucking brain damage. Measurable, neurological, physical brain damage.
