Needed to convert millilitres to ounces to determine just how much “cup of soup” was. Because cup to me seemed like an arbitrary unit of measurement.

“how to use dry rose petals”
Trying to take a zero waste (or less waste, at least) approach when recycling (or upcycling) some roses that dried up from a holiday floral arrangement. Was looking for some DIY project inspo.
“orange rind uses”
Planning to make orange marmalade and had a feeling a bit of this would take you to flavatown. 🍊
“balaclava”
because it’s chilly out and I want/need one, stat.
“plush”
A word I had contributed to a group effort behind a crossword puzzle. I wasn’t 100% sure if it was the word we were looking for, but I said it with conviction and it fit.
“food to add to oatmeal”
In an attempt to spice up my breakfast options.
“big bull new york”
This was prompted by Timehop reminding me that I had been in New York this time a couple years ago. I had taken a few silly photos with my dad at the business district but had forgotten the significance of the bull on Wall Street.
“ghost rider”
While catching up on the season premier of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., this was top of mind. I knew Nick Cage played Ghost Rider one day a while back, but didn’t wanna make a fool of myself before tweeting directly at the tv show ;)
“map of asia”
While dreaming of a trip to a foreign place in Asia, this was needed to guide our planning process, ha!
“mac star trek”
(MAC as in the cosmetics company). While downtown, I came across an intriguing Star Trek collection live display on the window (and by live I mean the mannequins were real people!) I later learned that MAC had just launched a branded collection.
“cashew” (image search)
While I was snacking on some nuts, my mom told me that if I’ve never seen what a cashew tree looks like, that I should search it up. And so I did. Fascinating!
“half step”
This led me to Urban Dictionary. It’s basically what it sounds like.
“Mr. Men”
I was in the book/stationary aisle of Home Sense when I came across a parody book of the Mr. Men mini book series. It triggered a lot of fond memories from my childhood as I adored those books as a child.
“maple”
I saw what I was 99.9% certain was a maple leaf on the floor one crisp morning, so I double checked for good measure. I was right.
“recall”
I was watching the final episode of So You Think You Can Dance and was looking for a word to describe a particular attribute that I admire of dancers (skill set wise). Nailed it!
“o’douls”
I was at a bar with my workmates and we were about to indulge in some drinks and snacks. I noticed this on the non-alcoholic drink menu which piqued my interest.
“the avengers”
Setting: Movie night at the office. Movie: The Avengers. I wasn’t able to wrap my head around the synopsis before watching it, so I did a quick search and skimmed through the plot.
