She was relieved to know Kichirou wasn’t mad at her; not that Suzume expected him to be mad at her, but still. When he took her hand in his, Suzume blinked at his words, a faint heat rising to her cheeks. Kichirou was willing to marry her now? Suzume wasn’t even sure if she was ready for marriage yet; though if it was with Kichirou, she’d make an exception.
However, she shook her head at his questions. “No, it’s not because of that,” she replied softly, looking down at their hands now. “Grandmother chose Ichiru because she believes he has the right business experience that our publishing company could use.” Considering her grandmother was always stubborn on having only males be the company’s president, and her brother was out of the question now.
"A-and because I know him from the past, she thinks it’s her being nice to me; r-rather than me being with a complete stranger…" A smile tried to force its way onto Suzume’s lips, as though attempting to reassure her boyfriend. But no amount of reassurance was going to make up for the fact that while her heart belonged fully to Kichirou, her future was presumably now going to belong to another man; another man whom Suzume had been with in the past, at that. Not a good combination.
Kichirou supposed, from a business standpoint, he could understand where Suzume's grandmother was coming from. But he couldn't possibly accept this... He shook his head, then released her hands to run his fingers through his hair. God damn it... God damn it... "God damn it!" Without realizing, his voice became rather loud, and he slammed his fist down on top of the table. But the sound of the silverware clanking snapped him out of it, and he looked around to see several people looking in their direction. He returned his gaze to Suzume and sighed. "I'm sorry..."
He lightly drummed his fingers against the tabletop. He hated feeling helpless like this. He couldn't honestly be expected to just sit here and accept the fact that Suzume was being promised to someone else. He loved her. He couldn't just hand her over to someone and go about his life. "Suzume. You have to let me talk to your grandmother. There has got to be a way to convince her. I know she is concerned about your family's business, but you are her granddaughter. Your happiness should be more important to her than anything else. We have to go talk to her." He wasn't going to let it go. Either he spoke with the eldest member of Suzume's family with or without her. But he was going to speak with her. He was not going to just let the person he loved get torn away from him.
What a Twist!
He had just slung his book bag over his shoulder when the knock came to his door. Curious, Leon went to answer it. It was probably a bellhop or something for whatever reason. However, upon opening the door and seeing those gorgeous green eyes Leon always fell in love with whenever he saw them, Leon’s bag dropped to the floor.
"S-Saru," the American stammered in surprise, eyes burning with tears, though in relief than anything. Quickly wiping his eyes, Leon stepped back and to the side, grabbing his bag off the floor. "I-I didn’t think you were gonna come. C’mon in…!" He was too wound up to concentrate on speaking Japanese, so he hoped Masaru was okay with using English for now.
"I’m glad… I’m gad you came," Leon said with a faint smile, moving to sit on the chair near the desk in the room once the door was closed with Masaru inside. "I just… I wanted to talk with just me and you around, is all…" Leon fiddled with his fingers, unsure of how this would all play out. If he was lucky, though, he and Masaru would be starting to patch thinfs up between them…
Judging from the bag on his shoulder and the tears in his eyes, Leon had been about to leave... Masaru was glad he had managed to catch him in time. Otherwise, he would have felt awful. "I...I'm sorry..." he replied, speaking English as well for Leon's convenience. "The traffic... It was really bad. I meant to be here earlier..." He swallowed thickly, then stepped inside of the room. Nervously, his eyes scanned the room, taking everything in. It was a nice enough room. Though... If Masaru had known that Leon was coming up, he would have offered something better. But that was a whole other matter that really was not something he needed to be concerned about right now.
With Leon seated at the desk, Masaru took a seat on the edge of the bed, his hands in his lap and his eyes focused on the floor. He tried again to swallow the lump in his throat, but it just did not seem to want to go down. There was a moment of silence between them, where Masaru was trying to think of what to say. He had been so worried about getting to Leon that he hadn't rehearsed a damn thing in his head on the ride over. "Leon..." he finally murmured. "I... I really fucked up... I'm... I'm such a shitty person and... and I'm so sorry... I should have just... stood by you and tried to work it out... But... But I was so hurt and... and scared... and fed up..." He choked on his words. "I'm sorry..."

Not even a minute after Suzume had sat down in the booth, Kichirou arrived, flowers in tow. She gave her boyfriend a soft smile, finding his gesture sweet, if not a bit odd. Taking them from him and watching the male sit across from her, she shook her head.
"No, I just got here," she told him, setting the flowers down on the table. Suzume debated between waiting a bit longer before telling Kichirou, but knew the sooner he was told, the better. So she took a deep breath and reached her hands out to lay on his gently.
"The reason… I asked to talk to you here," Suzume began quietly, not wanting others to overhear, "i-is because I have something very important to tell you." And though her tone was soft, her eyes read that it was probably something bad.
Suzume paused a moment, trying to think of just how to put the situation into the best terms, then just went for it. “My… grandmother. She.. Well, she decided it was time for me to get married.” She knew Kichirou was aware of how old fashioned her grandmother was, and how Suzume’s parents often did nothing to stop the elderly woman’s decisions.
"She told me earlier this afternoon. She’s… even already found me someone." And unfortunately, it wasn’t who either teen had hoped it would be. "It’s… it’s Ichiru; my… my ex." And that was where she fell silent, waiting for Kichirou to get mad, or upset- or anything, really. She would understand either way, as she felt pain from the knowledge herself. But there was no going back. Not now.
Kichirou's emotions were like a flipbook, the pages changing suddenly and quickly, almost too fast for him to keep up with. Hope. Concern. Confusion. Understanding. Happiness. Dread. And it all ended with a blood chilling case of heartbreak. For a moment, Kichirou could do nothing but stare at Suzume in silent shock. He just... He wasn't sure how he was supposed to react to all of this... He would have been fine if it had ended with her grandmother deciding it was time for her to marry. It was a little sooner than he would have liked, but he would have married her right on the spot if that was what needed to be done.
But no... He could not be lucky. Not only was she to bed wed, but she was to being promised to another man. His Suzume. His sweet sparrow... He was losing her. And what could he possibly do...? He had no idea. His heart was shattering, but he was so stunned, his eyes hadn't even filled with tears. He was partially aware of his mouth hanging open in silent protest while is brain tried to formulate coherent thoughts.
"N-No..." he finally choked out, lowering his gaze to look down at the table. His eyes glanced over to the flowers. He had thought that he was going to need to apologize for something, but now... Now he was on the verge of begging for answers. He couldn't accept this. He loved Suzume too much to let her go like this. "No... You can't... Suzume. Let me talk to your grandmother. Please. Is it because I have not made a move?" He reached out and grabbed the other girl's hand. "Because I will marry you. I will go to your grandmother and ask for your hand. And then we can put this nightmare behind us." God, he sounded pathetic... "Please... Tell me there is a way past this..."
I need a fucking nap so bad... I don't have the energy for anything...
What a Twist!

For a brief moment, Leon really thought Masaru was going to reject the idea right there and then; from the look on the Asian’s face, it seemed so. But when he nodded, a silent agreement of the idea, Leon felt mild relief for just a moment. A faint smile tugged at the elder’s lips as he nodded in return.
"Yeah. I’ll be careful," he murmured, reaching a hand out to gently brush his fingers against Masaru’s cheek. Even that small moment of touch was enough to drive Leon mad, knowing there was a chance he might not ever be able to do it again.
Then he stepped back, clearing his throat a bit. “I should… I should get going, then. I’ll see you… later.” It sounded more of a question than a statement, but Leon didn’t wait long enough for the potential answer; he just opened the bedroom door and left, heart pounding. The main reason he had given Masaru the hotel information was because he wanted to talk to the other teen in private. Having Yusuke in the house, even on a different floor, made Leon feel uneasy. Not that he disliked the other host; far from it. It was just that this whole situation with Masaru was a sensitive one- at least to Leon, it was. He didn’t want others hearing their talk.
Hours passed and Leon remained in his hotel room, eyes nervously glancing at the time; it was dangerously close to six, and yet… no sign of Masaru coming. The boarder sighed to himself, almost in defeat. Perhaps he wasn’t coming after all. Considering Leon hadn’t even said anything about his change back to his old self, or how he still loved him, it would make sense that Masaru wouldn’t show up. Leon probably wouldn’t show up, if the situation was reversed.
Heart aching at the thought that Masaru was indeed not coming- it was three minutes to six now- Leon decided to begin packing his things. He would just buy his plane ticket back to New York at the airport itself. And then… well, he’d deal with the ‘and then’ after that. Otherwise, his heart would only break even more.
The second the front door had shut behind Leon, Yusuke rushed up the stairs to check on his best friend. There were many repeated "Are you okay"s and "Is there anything I can do"s. But Masaru insisted that he was fine every time. Honestly, he was still a little in shock that Leon had showed up out of the blue like that. He was reeling over the way it had felt to hold him after so long. That short moment had almost been like a dream. Like it had been a minor fight between them and they were on the verge of making up.
But that wasn't the reality. The reality was that he and Leon were broken up. That he had called it quits because he couldn't handle Leon and the way he had been acting. And now... Now he had a huge decision to make. It was terrifying, really. He could refuse to go see Leon, and miss out on repairing his relationship with the person he loved most in the world. Or, he could go and end up getting caught in Leon's weird, controlling behavior all over again. And he really didn't want to get hurt like that again...
Of course, he spoke to Yusuke about the matter, hoping his best friend would be able to help him decide. But even Yusuke, the princely one who always seemed to know what to say, was at a loss... It was Masaru's heart on the line, not his. He couldn't really be the one to say what Masaru should do. But he did promise to be there for him, no matter what he should choose.
Masaru felt as if he had been staring at the piece of paper with the hotel address on it forever. Whenever he had come up with a decision, he would come up with a reason to go back on it and choose the other choice. He finally- legitimately- made up his mind at the last minute. He quickly showered, brushed his hair and teeth, dressed nicer than he had in far too long, then rushed out the door. He grabbed a driver quickly, gave the address of the hotel, and off they were. Ahhh... But things could never be that easy, could they...? The time of night meant rush hour traffic, and even money couldn't get all the cars on the road to move faster. So Masaru was left squirming in his seat, staring at the clock on his phone as the minutes ticked by. Please don't leave... Not yet...
It took a painfully long time, but Masaru finally arrived at the hotel. He darted up the stairs, not even wanting to bother with the elevator, and hurried around in attempt to find Leon's room. When he finally arrived, he raised his hand to knock on the door, then stopped. He looked a mess all over again, he realized. And as he ran his fingers through his hair, he couldn't help but worry that this was the wrong choice. That he was being stupid and asking to be hurt again. He sighed softly and finally brought his hand down, knocking his knuckles gently against the door.
Wrong choice or not, he was here now. And there was no turning back...

I hope you're doing well, and that your day/night is going well too! I'm going to be working on some writing for you, and I also wanted to mention... Seeing your Ouran blog may or may not have inspired me to bring back my Haruhi and Tamaki muses, like legit. Hahaha! I doubt that matters, but I felt like sharing! XD Anyway, see you soon!
Well hello there, my darling Secret Santa! Don’t you worry at all about missing a couple of days. As you can see, I’m hella late answering too so… We’re all good. And besides. School and real life are much more important. I want you to focus on that without worrying about sending me messages every day. I’ll be happy to hear from you whenever you get the time.
I’m really excited to hear that you are thinking about bringing back Tamaki and Haruhi as muses! If you decide to go through with it, I would looooooove to roleplay with you! Even if you don’t, I’d still love to hehe… I love new friends. And lawd knows my muses need some!
I hope you have a lovely day, dear! I look forward to hearing from you again!
I don’t know if anyone is interested, but… I kinda made another roleplay blog… It’s a multi-oc. Not really connected to any fandoms. But yeah… It’s here if you want to at least check it out~

I think I might put Katashi on there too. Just cause I love that little asshole. And anyone else I might think of. It'll probably be like your multi-muse? Where they come and go as they please? I dunno...
Is it awful that I am considering making another multi-muse account. This one for OCs not associated with the host club though...
Hello, Hello, Secret Santa back ( a lil late again-- long day today! ) and with some questions! Do you have a Second Gen. Host you like playing the most, and why? Whose your favorite first gen. Host and why? Would you attend the Host Club if it were real? Where did your inspiration for the second gen hosts come from? - From S.S.
Hello Secret Santa, darling! I hope you had a lovely day, despite it being a long one!
I think my favorite second gen hosts to play are Hayate, Masaru, and Yusuke. They’re also my most popular, so that is partially why. But their personalities are also the most fun! Yusuke is a little goof. Masaru is sassy as sin. And Hayate is just an asshole, which I always love playing for some reason.
My favorite first generation host will always be, hands down, Tamaki. I fell in love with him from the first episode. He’s just so adorable and silly and sweet. He is always so genuine and wants nothing more than to make the people around him happy. He is my ideal lover, best friend, and persona in general. Not only do I adore him, but I envy him. His strength and ability to always be so happy and caring to those around him… I wish I could be like that. I have a lot of feelings for him ;w;
I actually don’t know if I would attend the Host Club if it were real… I think I would really like to. But I’m actually a very shy person, so I probably wouldn’t have the courage to go in. Perhaps if I had a bolder friend who pretty much forced me to go in with them, I would…? But even then, I would most likely sit there silently with my hands in my lap the whole time lmao.
The inspiration for the second gen hosts actually came from when a friend and I were discussing Tamaki and Haruhi’s future as a couple. We came up with this idea of them having a son who aspires to be a good prince just like his father. That was how Yusuke was thought up. Building off of that, we came up with a scenario in which little Yusuke helps a girl who is lost in a theme park, and then the two meet up again when they are much older. It became this cute little love story, and as we continued to build on it, the second generation Host Club was born!
....I think I just royally fucked up...
-falls in a lil late- WHOOPS. Just saw you got my message on your personal! Golly gee, silly tumblr eating my message! Ah, I shall try and skip around a bit now and then! Spread the love to your accounts! Since you ARE so lovely! I have some super plans in store for you involving Ouran and a special OTP we share ( I'll give ya a hint! Tamaki and Haruhi! ). Aaah, I promise soon to give character asks too! Because those are great! I hope you have/had a wonderful day as wonderful as you! - S.S.
Secret Santa, you are so so adorable! And I am real excited for whatever this TamaHaru surprise is gonna be! Omgomg and it’s a mutual OTP? That makes things even more exciting! We can fangirl forever over our love for them.
Ahhh… Waiting until the end of December to find out who you are is going to be hard… I wanna know who my new best friend is lol. I hope you have a lovely day as well though! You are such a sweet, sweet person <3
Everyone is unhappy today...
