another old sketch color. Thirdwheeling.
In case it wasn’t apparent… ROOTBOUND is in dual POV! You might say I have a soft spot for wisecracking thieves grudgingly embracing emotional vulnerability, so I had a very good time writing Eugene’s chapters.

In terms of returning S1 characters in the conspiracy...
(based on how i didn't even fucking recognized that guy)
I know everyone makes a big deal out of the emotional moments in the "Chidi and Elanor Love Each Other" montage in the season 3 finale, but honestly, that's not the part that's the best. It's something that is very funny and VERY touching.
It's this moment. This one right here is how you know they love each other. See, Chidi teaches Elanor in every timeline... But here we see Elanor reaching out. She doesn't have a lot to offer Chidi, but she's TRYING. She's TRYING to teach him something that he doesn't know, and SHE IS IMITATING HIM not because it's a joke, but because she's using him as a model for love. This kind of imitation is a CLASSIC way for someone like Elanor to dip a toe into the pool of emotional vulnerability, into reciprocating effort and feelings.
AND HE'S TAKING HER SERIOUSLY. He's CLEARLY trying really hard to follow along, even though there's NO WAY this matters... Except it matters to her, so it matters to him.
rewatching tangled for the idk 178th time and it's so cute how Rapunzel was ready to "elope" with Eugene and he was ready to elope too. "I thought you took the crown and left me." after all, she doesn't want him to leave her "no, he wouldn't!" and, of course, he doesn't want to leave her either.
she wants to stay with him, he wants to be better and be with her. they want to stay together forever. leave the tower, leave the thieving days, travel the world, be together no matter what, figure out how they would live together, even if it meant being on the run. cuties!!!!
🌸🌼🌷~
a can opened on twitter because Nathan Greno talked about yet again the 0% possibility of we getting a sequel to Tangled and omg I got so mad bro lol not bc there won't be a sequel (new material for Tangled always comes here and there, I'm always happy) but like didn't we all knew that? not much after the movie released, byron and nathan SAID they wouldn't be doing one bc there was no story left to tell (at least, not in a movie sequel *wink*) and some people are going bananas bc the idea of a sequel was "scrapped"???? yeah!!! more than 10 years ago! guys, it's been 16 years...
at least, a lot of people (from my country no less!) are talking about the show there again after 6 years since the ending. wow, time flies indeed
I've never talked about Stranger Things here before but I really wanted to say some stuff since I've been a fan for ten years, since I was a little child.
I'm on episode 4 of Stranger Things: Tales from 85' and from what I gathered, in my opinion, the show is a (maybe) kind hearted attempt of a mediocre spin off of one of the biggest netflix shows ever. A while ago, I would be calling it greatest or amazing instead of biggest but it's april 2026, no one has this opinion anymore. Stranger Things throughout the years started to appeal to younger audiences and in season 5 they threw the towel and straight up turned into a pre teen/kid's show. Am I part of the problem too? I was 10 years old when the first season came out, but I had the privilege to grow up with the characters, maturing with them, you know? So I didn't wanted a half baked story easy to digest. I loved season 1, season 2 and when season 3 came out I was old enough to see that we were kiinddd of loosing the plot.
Anyway, Tales from 85' is an animated kids show, not only because it's animated and this medium attracts the younger generation, but also because it's story lacks any of Stranger Things previous story charm that we saw in seasons 1, 2 and even 3 with mature plots and characters. Animated shows aren't necessarily focused on younger audiences, but this one is. For sure. I'm not saying it's the kids fault, of course. I'm saying that to get more audience and therefore more money Netflix stopped caring about Stranger Things past season 3 when the show blew up MORE then it already blew haha.
At least, It's not an extension of season 5 because it has something season 5 will never have which is an effort in trying to make a story. We have something in it. Something happening. Is it entertaining? Sometimes. You will probably catch yourself thinking "Ok this is kind of boring" but then you remember! "Wait... this is not for me." and the countless moments where some character goes to say a swear word and is suddently interrupted is living proof. It's frustrating to see but hey, we have Eleven being happy and most importantly alive. I am watching it for her, because I've spent 10 years of my life invested in her story for her to be killed off for whatever reason. I cried my eyes out when she died, My year begun with witnessing her gruesome death. It wasn't graphic obviously, it had turned into a kid's show after all, but it was still terrible. Because the Duffer Brothers fucked up so much I'm watching this! Tales from 85', just to see her again, but seeing her be happy and childish, bathing herself with the joy of being with Mike and the gang makes me even more sad and frustrated. So, in a way, there is no "good side" on watching this, at least not for now.
It is also a reminder of what the show has turned into. It's over, sure, but it feels like we will never stop getting content of it. And yes, Tales from 85' had pottencial to not be mediocre. Season 1 of Stranger Things is intimate, with a "simple" story but with such a thrilling plot and such great characters that we end up enchanted by it! I say it's a "kind hearted" attempt because we can see that the animators were killing it! It's a beautiful show, truly.
Anyway, I just wanted to get this out of my system. Twitter is a hell hole, I was not in the mood for talking about THAT there again, lol!
