This is a historical overview of the United States. It explains the first steps taken by Native Americans to build their own new nation and how two other tribes were grouped together by the English to form the United States of America.As people began to travel further south and west, they met up with people who spoke languages that were related to each other. These languages were separated by geographical distance and were never the same.The United States was formed in 1776. Its first president was George Washington. The country was at war with Native Americans and needed to have a military force to protect itself from these tribes..The United States emerged as America. The word “America” was first used in the Treaty of Paris after the American Revolution. In 1789, George Washington was named the first President of the United States of America.The United States of America has a history dating back to 1620 when the Dutch established a trading post at New Amsterdam. In 1783, the United States was formed by a group of settlers and farmers led by George Washington.The United States of America is the world’s oldest continuous democracy.
