. . . your dad banning peter privileges from you ! ੈ♡˳
As Tony Stark’s daughter, let’s say you’ve been pretty rebellious… Some people say you get it from your dad, some disagree. However, you do have a fierce streak of teenage rebellion, but at the end of the day, you’re still that smart, bright, intelligent girl. You’re not all bad.
But that streak has been brought back as you’ve skipped quite a few classes this week. Your parents weren’t the type of strict parents, but they aren’t that careless. Surely, they’re understanding too, but, to be fair, you chose to skip for no reason. You just didn’t feel like going.
So, when your dad sits you down one day in the living room, abruptly stopping you from your journaling to confront you for skipping your classes this week, his initial strategy completely backfires. You didn’t think much of it, really. What is he going to say? No devices? That’s fine, no shopping? Even easier. I don’t think his punishments are that harsh… Just to set me back on the road.
“Alright, kiddo, you want to act reckless? Skipping classes without any reason? Fine,” Tony had declared, raising his arm as he let out a sigh. He then hands his arms out. “Phones, tablets, just all kinds of devices—hand them out, now. Gone for two weeks.”
You didn’t even blink. Just shrugged as you calmly handed out your phone and the tablet towards the coffee table, where he took them.
Tony stared at your blank faces, until it took seconds for realization to hit him. He scoffs, pointing a finger at you. “Oh, I see what you’re doing… You think you’re slick? I know you’ve got more devices. I’ll make sure Happy finds them, and I’ll be taking them too. I’m a Stark too, you know? I’m your father. You’re not too slick.”
You still seemed unbothered, which made him so unfazed… How could you not care yet!? He wants this to be a lesson, not too harsh, and not too easy. He paced around the living room for seconds until a wicked thought reached his head.
“Okay… okay then, how about no more Peter?”
Your jaw instantly dropped, your expression immediately changed from a blank stare to a look as if you’ve seen a ghost or something.
“No Peter…?” you spoke hesitantly as you stuttered through your words. You didn’t expect this. Not at all. You expected some no shopping, no going out, no devices, but not this! I mean? How is this going to work? Peter was always here, it’s like he lived here. Dad seriously cannot ban him because of me. This is a disaster!
“Yup, you heard me, no Peter, fair and square, right?” He says, nodding with extreme satisfaction as he finally found your ultimate weakness. Of course, Peter is your weakness. How didn’t he think of that too soon? He tapped his wristwatch firmly.
“No. More. Peter. Your Peter privileges are officially gone until your attendance at school is perfect. No lab dates, no more walks from school, no more movie nights or baking dates, just none of that. And I’m telling FRIDAY to recognize him and lock him out of the elevator’s ID screen. Yeah? What do you say about that, princess?”
You couldn’t process what’s going on, cause how does getting your devices taken lead to not being able to see your boyfriend?
“You’re joking… right!?” Your tone carried slight panic as you waited for your dad to say it was some prank, but it wasn’t. He seemed pretty serious…
“Nope, dead serious,” he said as he popped the p in the “nope,” seeming pretty satisfied with himself. Oh god… You covered your face with your hands, just waiting for this to get over. Two full weeks without Peter.
The elevator rang as your mom came through, confusion carried her facial expression for a few seconds until she recognized what was going on.
You lifted your head up, seeing as your mom walked towards you guys, dropping her stuff on the coffee table. “Mom, you’ve got to do something!” you blurted immediately as you saw her. She raised her eyebrow. “What happened?” Pepper turned her head towards Tony, seeing how the confronting is going.
“I’ve gotten her Peter privileges gone, for two weeks,” Tony spoke proudly, as he raised his hands up. Pepper paused for a second. No more Peter privileges? That made her slightly chuckle cause she didn’t think Tony would go that far.
“Really, Tony? You look way too happy about this punishment.” Pepper looked up and gave him a look. “Yes, really. It’s surely working, and this will somehow… teach her a lesson not to skip her classes.” Tony nodded satisfied with his decision as he pointed at your horrified face.
“I’ll do anything, okay? I’ll go to classes, do extra courses or whatever! But this is too far!”
Tony’s expression shifts into something dangerously close to delight. Pretty satisfied that his punishment is working. “‘Anything’ isn’t gonna cut it this time, kiddo.” Pepper turns to Tony. “Honey, I get it, all of this punishing, but banning Peter? Come on, you need him too, you know?”
Tony gets defensive. “It’s necessary! She’s skipped a bunch of classes this week, it’s pretty noticeable and I don’t notice much.” Pepper sighed, not knowing what to do with your dad or you.
Tears of frustration leave your eyes as you stand up and to head towards your room. “Whatever.”
You quickly walked towards your room, wiping away the tears that were already beginning to form in your eyes. You didn’t even bother looking back at your dad or mom as you walked away. The second you got into your room, you shut the door behind you and leaned against it, letting out a frustrated sigh.
Two weeks. Two whole weeks without Peter. You really didn’t think skipping classes would lead to this! You knew you had messed up. You knew skipping classes wasn’t exactly the smartest decision… and you really wish you could’ve taken it back.
You were willing to accept being grounded. You could live without your phone. You could live without shopping. You could even survive without going out.
But Peter? That was just cruel. Gosh, he probably doesn’t even know that all of this is going on!
You walked over to your bed and sat down, rubbing your face as the tears finally started falling. You’re just so frustrated that your actions have lead into this.
Tony stood in the living room for a few seconds, staring at the hallway where you had disappeared. The smug look he had on his face slowly faded. He had expected you to argue. Maybe yell. Maybe slam your door.
But he hadn’t expected you to actually cry. Pepper noticed immediately. “Tony…” He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “Yeah, yeah, I know.” Tony looked towards your room.
A few seconds passed before he finally walked towards your room. He stopped outside your door and knocked twice.
“Hey, can I, uh, come in?” He tried, yet you didn’t answer. Tony waited a moment before knocking again.
“Kiddo, can I come in?” Still nothing. He sighed loudly, not wanting to make this big or cause it into something big. You and your parents barely fight, he didn’t want this to be something.
“Alright, I’m coming in anyway. Don’t make me use my very impressive fatherly authority. The door opened slowly, and Tony stepped inside. You were sitting on your bed, wiping your tears away as you turned your head to look at him.
Tony immediately softened. “Oh, come on…” He walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. “Don’t do that.” You sniffled. “Do what?” You waited for him to reply.
“The whole ‘my father has ruined my entire existence’ thing.” You finally looked at him with one eyebrow raised. “You banned Peter.”
Tony nodded slowly. “Yeah… about that.” You crossed your arms. “You’re horrible.”
“Ouch.” He placed a hand over his chest dramatically. You rolled your eyes, but you couldn’t stop another tear from falling.
Tony sighed. “Okay. Alright. I get it. I went a little far, and you can’t live without your precious little boyfriend.” You stared at him. “A little? Really?”
“Don’t push it. Okay?” Tony gave you a weird look, making him almost regret his words. You let out a small laugh despite yourself. Tony smiled slightly before continuing.
“Look, you skipped a bunch of classes this week. That’s not okay, and I’m not just gonna pretend it didn’t happen.” You looked down.
“I know, I know.”
“Good. Because you’re still grounded.” Your head immediately lifted. “What?”
“Relax. I’m renegotiating, okay? I’ve been thinking about it.” He held up his fingers as he started listing everything off.
“No skipping school. You go to every class. You keep your attendance perfect, okay? You get your schoolwork done before anything fun, and you’re still losing your devices for two weeks. Maybe I’ll give you your phone, cause, you know.” He tried to act something with his hands, just confusing you even more.
You frowned. “Yeah, but that’s still horrible.”
“Yes, well, I’m your father. You see, it’s kind of in the job description… no?” You looked at him suspiciously. “So what’s the renegotiation? I feel like you’re just reminding me of everything, again.” You still waited for him to get this over with.
Tony paused for a second, making you question what’s next. Then he gave you a small smirk. “Peter privileges are back.”
You blinked. “…What?” Were you hallucinating, or was this real? “You heard me.” Tony spoke out casually as if it was nothing.
“Peter is-“ You couldn’t even continue as your dad cut you off. “Back.” Your entire expression immediately changed. It’s like a light switch was turned on.
Tony pointed at you. “Don’t get too excited. I’m still grounding you. You’re not off the hook yet, that fast, young lady.”
You practically jumped off the bed. “Seriously? Like this isn’t some prank you’re throwing off?”
“Yes, seriously.” He sounded a bit offended that you thought he was joking.
“So Peter can come over? Like again, again? And we can have movie nights? And lab dates?” Excitement and happiness filled your voice as you asked your dad numerous questions. “Within reason.” Tony sighed as he explained his words again. “If your grades stay where they belong.”
You stared at him for a few seconds before suddenly throwing your arms around him. Tony froze. “Oh, wow. Okay.” You hugged him tighter. “Thank you!”
“Yeah, yeah, you’re welcome.” He awkwardly patted your back before mumbling, “See? This is why I should’ve just taken the phone, but you quite need it.”
You pulled away, wiping your face as he gave you your phone back, yet you’re still somewhat punished.
“You’re still the worst to best dad ever.” Tony nodded proudly. “And yet, somehow, I’m still your favorite.” You rolled your eyes. “You’re literally the only dad I have? Mom’s my favorite too, you know.”
“That’s my girl.” He patted your shoulder as he left your room, leaving you quickly to be, as you headed to call Peter and inform him about everything to make plans later.
