This came to me in a dream and I needed to share it.

Basically the thunderbolts are raiding a human testing facilitie and John finds this baby and adopts her (mostly because he's the only one who can hold her without her screaming)

Bucky who was originally annoyed by the idea of having a baby in the tower actually ends up helping John the most and slowly they start to see a different side to one another and slowly that deep rooted hate morphs into love. Between sleepless knights and late night confessions that leave them completely honest with each other and themselves they realize that they may not be so different after all.

(The baby's name was Gabbie (Gabriella) after John's grandmother who taught him to paint???? Idk that's definitely not cannon, my dreams are weard)
