the unfinished cold tea on my desk reminds me of the way I am. I am never not followed by meaningless things that make me feel what bigger things don't. How do I stop this nonsense? I like to think I'm bigger than this, and then I am reminded of the winner inside myself. The gold shiny badge that says "fear", all caps, to not let me forget. I lay down. I don't finish my tea. I'm curious about the next thing that will calm my thirst. I am in need. I am fearful. I am the last sip of a cup of tea I throw in the sink. I mold in words that start with "un-". I hate washing the dishes.
