If you are feeling good about yourself or situation and then your mood suddenly shifts leaving you feeling insecure, unsure, etc. try to remind yourself that nothing has truly changed but your perception. Your cute outfit did not suddenly become horrid. Your delicious meal did not tranform into a terrible one. Your peers perception of you has not radically transformed over a social misstep. Everything we experience is put through it through our mental filter, and that can convince us that everyone else sees us with the judgement we have for ourselves. Be kind to yourself.

it’s always weird hearing about current trends on tumblr that don’t actually cross your own dash, but one of the funniest trends I see from a distance is the ‘tumblr is for teens! any interest in fandom should die out spontaneously when you hit 25! if you’re a grownup your presence online is suss and you shouldn’t be here!’ thing; because literally all of my mutuals and those I follow are 20s/30s/40+ and my tumblr experience is largely delightful

and the content is staggeringly better than whatever gatekeepery/exclusionary/purity politics bullshit keeps floating around this blue hellscape, so honestly maybe wanting everyone with a modicum of life experience banned isn’t the genius idea y’all think it is

Hey guys!

I am usually not a person who asks the internet for financial help, but this isn’t for me, so I feel more compelled to do so. My area had a terrible flood last night, after 1/10 of the annual rainfall fell within a couple of hours. Areas that have never seen floods in the last 400 years were completely destroyed and one of them is the town my best friend lives in.

Although living on the first floor, her apartment was completely destroyed last night, all of her belongings washed away or were at least ruined. All the cars on the street drowned and she literally has nothing left, except for the clothes she wore last night. Her family was also affected by the flood, because they live in the same area, so they can’t help out much. As a student, she just doesn’t have the financial means to cover all of the damage and given we live in a usually safe area that doesn’t have any natural catastrophes, insurance doesn’t cover elemental damage either. After just having buried a close family member a month ago, this is a disaster for her and her family and I want to help in any way I possibly can.

I know money is tight for a lot of us, but every small bit counts & signal boosts help as well. If anyone has questions, I’ll gladly answer them. Thank you in advance for your help <3
