Marcus couldn’t help but smile in response to her words, knowing that she liked the gifts he gave her, made him happy beyond belief. “Crunchies are my favourite.” He chuckled lightly, nodding his head happily. “You- You really don’t need to thank me. I just- I wanted to do something nice for you. Let you know that I- That I care about you..” Marcus mumbled quietly, nervously. It was rare that he was so forward in telling someone how he felt, usually he would just keep things to himself, but the raven haired beauty brought out the honest side, apparently. “I can imagine seeing someone as beautiful as you walk into their comic store had the nerds behind the till quaking.” Marcus chuckled lightly. “We- We don’t usually tend to encounter your kind.” He teased with a slight smile. Watching as she covered her mouth, to stop herself from talking, he couldn’t help but smile again. It reminded him of something he would do when his anxiety got the better of him, so it told him that she was nervous - yet he didn’t understand why. She always seemed so confident. God, the feeling of having her in his arms was incredible. It was rare that she allowed him to touch her, and this was definitely a feeling he would savor for as long as she would allow.
Cassandra’s smile grew wider as her eyes twinkled excited with the male’s answer. “They are? Fancy that.” She replied enjoying the coincidence. The witch smiled dropping his hand. Chewing down on her lip she found herself wondering what the male meant by his words. She couldn’t help but hope that he meant he cared for her more than one might care for a friend. “That’s sweet. I really care about you too Marcus.” Her voice sounded confident, and for that she was grateful. She bit down on her lip trying to contain her smile as the male called her beautiful. It wasn’t as if she hadn’t been called beautiful before, in fact, people were always telling her how gorgeous she was but somehow it meant more coming from Marcus. She found herself laughing at his words. “I don’t see why I mean, they all seemed sweet and if they’re anything like you my ‘kind’ would be lucky to encounter them,” Cassandra told him tilting her head as she held his gaze with a smile.
