Prayer Request
On Tuesday June 26th, my son Ryley Barton was run over twice by a car. He is just shy of 2 years old. He will be in the hospital for quite a while longer, at least two more weeks (He's in Sick Kids) He has three skull fractures and a blood clot in one of the main veins going to his brain which could cause him to have a stroke which would likely be fatal or damage his entire right side of his brain. He also has damaged the ligaments connecting his skull and spine. He is getting better slowly but it is going to be a long process. He needs a lot of prayer and our family does as well.
As a single mother without Medical Benefits or anything for my son it's going to be a rough road financially. As well as the fact that I am still scared for my sons health and my mental health as I am having flashbacks of the accident constantly. My son, myself and my family need your prayer that he will get better and be back to his original health and that my family and I can get through this together with the help of our Lord.
How do you give all your problems to God? I do pray to Him to let Him solve my problem but it still there and I couldn't stop thinking about all of my problems
That's just it - you let go of them and let faith take over. You need to start trusting the fact that God has your back. Take a look at this passage (Matthew 6: 25-34). It's one of my favorites."Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Have faith, anon. :)
Made this for my youth group in Church. It might be printed on shirts. :) It's also one of my favorite verses. :)
“But those who trust in the LORD will be blessed. They know that the LORD will do what he says. They will be strong like trees planted near a stream that send out roots to the water. They have nothing to fear when the days get hot. Their leaves are always green. They never worry, even in a year that has no rain. They always produce fruit."
- Jeremiah 17:7-8

Prayer Requests
1. Hi, I really need prayers right now. My family is going through a lot of troubles and I’m doing things I really shouldn’t be doing and I’m yet again struggling with homosexuality. I’ve been really discouraged lately as well.. any prayers would be just awesome. Thanks, you guys are awesome. 2. Dear God, I please pray that my father starts working happily soon. I pray that I do well on my final exams and that my grades turn out good especially for that one class I’ve been struggling with. I pray that I get my position back on the team as you know I need it and want it so badly. Please have that answered. Dear God, I love you. But please, could you please help me out. Keep my family healthy and alive and peaceful. Please no more bad. I’m tired of it. Praise God. Only hoping for the best and waiting for good to come. 3. Please pray for my grandfather who is undergoing dialysis.. D:

Whenever you feel a little lost, remember this.
10 reasons I love God.
He gave me an undeserved life.
He has always loved me and always will.
Whenever i need Him, He is always there.
He gave His one and only son so i could live.
He gives me food, water, and shelter.
He made me special in a sea of people.
He gave me free will.
He made a beautiful world.
His forgiveness amazes me.
And last, He knows what is best for me.
How To Deal With Temptation
A few days ago, I asked you guys how you personally deal with temptation. This is a compilation of all the answers sent in. I thought it'd be helpful to see the different suggestions. Someone said that the answers seemed too legalistic but, in my own opinion, you need to have a battle plan when dealing with temptation. If you're serious about giving up a certain sin, you have to run from it. Pray, read scripture, or take a deep breath. These things help you get out of the moment where sin seems inevitable. You gotta remember, we're in a war. Seriously. It might sound over dramatic but it's true. The evil ones made it their number one mission to make us feel hurt and unworthy of God's love. One thing I read today summarized the entire point of why we "fight the good fight". We shouldn't stop sinning because we want to impress God or win Him over. We stop sinning because God has already won us. Take a moment to let that sink in. & without further ado, here are the answers you guys sent in:
1. Since a lot of people will deal with the applicable aspects of sin and temptation, let me say a word on the corruption itself. I think for me, a way I deal with it is to let myself know that this is not the way things should be. We so long for a perfect place, for a perfect ruler, a perfect king, that we try to make it ourselves! Sometimes, its just God egging us on to remember, this is not the way things should be, hope for more and trust in me. This gets me through my repentance and sin.
2. Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. 2 Timothy 2:22 You don't deal with temptation, you run away from it. Joseph literally run away from Potiphar's wife when she tried to seduce him. Temptation is doing exactly the same, seducing us. It is better to sufer for not pleasing your desires than dealing with sin's consequences. We always try to deal with sin thinking we will be stronger, but it will never be like that. We are always going to be tempted but the decision of running away will always be ours. 3. There are several friends I can text if I am ever in a tough situation and they will reply right away that they're praying for me and quote Scripture. They're all very close so they usually know exactly what I'm talking about but even if not, they will still pray. It reminds me I'm not alone and there are people supporting and counting on me. I was actually pretty relieved to see your post because sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who stumbles. 4. High tail it away from whatever it is. If I have to leave where I am, I do. There’s no halfway. If you have to cut something out of your life completely so you can work on it with God without the temptation, do that. That’s what I do. Sometimes I spend whole nights on my knees in front of God because I know if I don’t I’ll go right back to whatever was tempting me. 2 Timothy 2:22 says “Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” That’s not figurative. Just get up and run to Him; don’t compromise; don’t try to work around it; give it all up if even a part threatens to come between you and God. He will appoint a time for you to return to those things once He’s equipped you to handle them. Be strong and God bless. 5. Remind myself of the beauty of the cross. Seriously, when I’m facing temptation, Jesus’ loves helps me withstand it all. He’s just so good. 6. Dear seek faith, i’m also a christian teen. when temptation comes i ask the Holy Spirit to intervene. I tell my spirit: you dont need that. 7. I avoid it. Distract myself with stuff I have to do…Not the best way but I don’t have much else. 8. Consistent focus on the word and daily prayer. constant fellowship with other believers. build self discipline gradually until perfected.
9. Most times it’s easier to avoid temptation than to resist it.
10. The Gospel. The Bible. Prayer. Yippee! :D He’s given us everything we need! 11. I usually think of Jesus. Also, the feeling of guilt is something that I don’t handle well so whenever I overcome temptation, I feel awesome! 12. I try to think about Jesus and what he would do and remind myself that it will not satisfy me in the long run; Jesus will. I will also pray, and try to read scripture. 13. I just pray. a lot. and grit my teeth. and scream in my pillow sometimes. I laugh, but it’s true. and Jesus’ outstanding grace and love for us that no human has. 14. Honestly, sometimes I cave… but I try not to let the guilt and shame get me down. I ask God for forgiveness. But even so, I remember the cross, and what happened that fateful, beautiful night, and it helps me stop. I also remember if there is a way in, God provides a way out. 15. I don’t have an elaborate and amazing way to dodge temptation, but what I do is quickly start repeating Jesus’ name and turn away. Run to Him.
16. I just basically stop where I am and talk to God… Usually, it goes away almost completely after that. If you ask, He will take it away. There you have it. It's not going to be easy but God will get you through it. & btw, many many thanks to all the kind folks who took the time to send in their answers. Bless you. xx
If there's anything you should remember to do in this lifetime, it should be to love.
Honestly, this corrupt world frustrates me so much.
Staying good gets near impossible sometimes. I'd like to ask all of you: how do you deal with temptation? Reply below and let's get a discussion going. Who knows? It might help a lot of us with our struggles. For longer replies, send it into my ask box, okay?
I want to be seen as a fool for Christ. (1 Corinthians 4:10)
(via saechaotimothy)
God blesses us with such undeserved grace. He paid the highest ransom for our freedom - He gave up his only son. Because of that alone, we should give Him everything we've got.
& if you feel too broken by this world, remember that we have a strong God. His love will remove you from your sin.
Cry of The Broken by Hillsong
Lord I come Lord I thank you For your love For this grace divine Love and mercy Undeserving You gave it all The greatest sacrifice You were wounded For my sin And You were bruised For all my shame You were broken For my healing Only by the cross I'm saved You're the mender of the broken To every outcast A friend and comforter I come boldly to your presence Lord I bow before your throne You're my healer My redeemer You're my hope, my life, my all You hear the cry of the broken You hear the cry of the broken You hear the cry of the broken [x2] You answer the cry of the broken You answer the cry of the broken You answer the cry of the broken
One of my favorite prayers. The first time I read it, it really hit home. I mean, to see everything my heart wanted to say condensed into two verses? Magical.
I believe in Jesus. That means I believe less and less in money, good looks, success, popularity and all the other stuff people say will bring you security and happiness. I believe less and less in my own ability to run my life. The more I believe in Him, the less I need anything else.
