Selene took a deep breath and started to mentally prepare herself for the inevitable barrage of questions and noise awaiting her back home. Today was a stressful, but still very exciting day. She would finally be bringing home her new little family members. It was so surreal, being in this particular timeline. Growing children in a lab setting seemed so impossible, so odd, yet she was able to witness this through various steps, along with the fathers of her littlest ones. 

She spent so much time in this timeline, worrying her dream of expanding her family could never come fruition. But they did, thanks to the dedication and work of one brilliant lady and her team, a team of varying species with a common goal: helping folks complete their family. She doesn’t remember how she found this timeline, or how she was introduced to her baby daddies. She does remember spending many hours talking to a handsome blue blood and an adorable human man with the lightest green eyes you’d ever saw.

They would still be part of the babies’ lives, of course. There was no way she would have done something like this without considering the other parties’ feelings. She was unsure of how her other kids would react but she felt optimistic. She had told them what her plans were before she left. But who knows how kids of varying ages will react to having new babies around.

Taking another deep breath, she stepped onto the transport system. It was time to go home.

I adore fish, both troll and animal. Fish can be relaxing to watch or study. I particularly enjoy watching a sea dweller's earfins flicker. It's rather cute.
