I decided to make a little artwork of some of my OCs, this time it's just those from Henry Stickmin.

From Right to Left we've got General Irida Dusma getting shoved into the water by Kane Kolérique, a high level admin in the Toppats, who is being held back by Daisy Blackwell a Toppat who works directly under Burt. Glaring at them is Erica Linwood, a neutral party who tends towards the Government. The next three are triplets, Liam, Bernard, and Daphne Panzer, children of Johnny Panzer. Finally there is Dandelion, she's not exactly a human and bounces around sides depending on the AU.

mo4 wouldve been a phenomenally more enjoyable game if axez didnt write "mc repents for genocide" as the main plotline, not bc it covers such a heavy topic but because he butchered such a heavy topic in so many different ways.

and u cant even say "its a shitpost game he wasnt taking himself seriously" i will not take that cop out for a story that OBVIOUSLY took itself seriously. just bc it was badly written doesnt mean u can try and backpedal and say it never meant anything in the first place.

i could rant about alot of specifics but i wont, i just hate mo4s main plot. shit sucks

still love the game but that doesnt mean ill ignore how shitty its writing is

I can see where you're going from in that post about the Genocide in MO4, and I agree that topic could have been handled a lot better, given more weight than just the villain's backstory. However, I do disagree with the fact that it being something that wasn't meant to be serious is a cop out. To me, it was meant to be a shitty game first and the plot comes after the game, as much as it sometimes does suffer for it.

But that is also one of the strengths of that game. Every single numa is a Bad Person in some way or another, but when they are together they level each other out. It's when they go off solo that fucked up shit starts happening. But so are many of the human characters. All of it is meant to be infuriating to the audience, to both laugh at those playing the game and laugh along side them. Being offensive is part of the core of the game, both in and out of universe. Ikenuma is canonically a slur and the name of their species, Morikaze is undeniably a creep who randomly rubs his coworkers shoulders with no warning, Taiyo is wildly violent and constantly threatens or even attacks everyone around him, Bachikin got Axez and Eclair to drink nasty sewage, hell, Marikin is the world renowned hero but he's also a shut in who would rather gamble on his phone than help a stranger on the street.

They're all awful in their own ways and that's okay because them being awful is what makes the game fun, what makes the story engaging. It isn't just some cookie cutter person is the hero. They have realistic flaws, realistic trauma, realistic hatred, they just feel. More real because the game lets itself just be shitty sometimes.
