Entrepreneur's Start Up Journey

Our journey with this subject was not easy to passed because we are struggling but that doesn’t mean that we can not finish it with a huge smile in our faces. This entry may be my last entry because the school year is nearly ending. We have now arrive at making a pitch deck presentation which has been very difficult to us because of the struggles in communicating online. We finished it, and we will be defending our product next week. We’ve brought to it to a different level and I am proud of what I have done and gained in this subject. To look into new ways and building the strategies in starting a great team for capturing big opportunities. When you are starting your business the technique you must include is the mindset of valuing quality over quantity. Failing of doing things is not mean your done, it's a step for you to move forward because failure is important. Learn and teach your self in expanding the skills you have. Strive the passion within you. Connect with the people who are very supportive to and giving positive vibes that surrounds your atmosphere. Especially trust God because we can't do anything without Him. Only God holds our future for he knows the plans that he have for us, plans to prosper us, plans to give us hope and better future. I will leave a quote that says, "In every success in life there's a story behind and it maybe hard and challenging but when you have that courageous heart you will surely capture the success of your long journey."

Top 10 things that I have learned from the introduction part of the subject ‘The Entrepreneurial Mind’

Hi! I would like to share to you some of the things that I’ve learned from the introduction part of my subject called The Entrepreneurial Mind. My first impression of this subject was more on like ‘how we handle business’, ‘how to be creative’, ‘how we construct accurate solutions for possible setbacks if we’re starting a business’ things like that. Unfortunately, I was half right and half wrong, I think? Well anyways, during the discussion I find the subject very interesting because I want to be an entrepreneur someday and I believe that this subject will help me a lot, as in a lot. My instructor was incredibly knowledgeable, he says things that are easily to catch up. Basically, there are so many things that I learned in his discussions. 

First, I’ve learned the differences between an entrepreneur and being a businessman. 

Second, I’ve learned that the economic growth is started by people (entrepreneurs). 

Third, I’ve learned the different types of start-ups, where if ever I would start a business I can easily determine what type of business I started, is it a small business, mainstream, growth, or global. 

Fourth, I’ve learned how a startup causes massive disruption in so many things. According to Ken Singer, “A startup is an act of rebellion.” 

Fifth, I’ve learned that new technologies eliminates some traditional way of living. 

Sixth, I’ve learned that in business there is no such thing as ‘perfection’ because in reality it is not linear, it is complex and people oriented, it has many unwritten rules, and honestly speaking, there are not enough datas to make a plan.

Seventh, I’ve learned to identify the different types of entrepreneurial activities such as the retailing, wholesaling, manufacturing, and service.

Eight, I’ve learned that retailers purchases from wholesalers, while wholesalers purchases from manufacturers.

Ninth, I’ve learned that service business it is composed of service workers such as beauticians, barbers, electricians, plumbers, designers, landscapers, etc.

Lastly, I’ve learned that failures serve as a lesson to all of us and a reflection for greater achievements.

These are some of the important things that I have learned from the discussion. I am very grateful because I learned so many things that can really help me at the moment or in the future.
