Evelyn "Rook"

Name: Evelyn Alias: Rook Age: 28 Occupation: Freelance merc, Street Kid origin Personality: An annoying little shit (affectionately). Doesn't take much of anything seriously, until she gets saddled with Solas in her head. Is one petty bitch and doesn't care who knows it. She has zero respect for authority having earned one or more broken noses from mouthing off to cops. She's also one of the hardest petty criminals for the cops to catch because she knows Night City like the back of her hand. Hates corporations and the evanuris when she finds out what they're up to. She has a vendetta against the evanuris for what happened to Varric History: Doesn't know who her parents were and doesn't particularly care. Her earliest memories were of a halfway house until she was old enough to run scams or pickpocket tourists. She would often get into scraps with the local cops but her charges usually wound up as misdemeanors. She winds up meeting Varric when some local gang members were trying to rough him up for some info. She chased them off and took Varric to her place to bandage him up. He gave her his info and he was the one who called about stealing the biochip. Of course they didn't realize what it was they were stealing until it was a little too late.

Malcolm aka "Knight"

Name: Malcolm Alias: Knight Age: 34 Occupation: Freelance mercenary. Former MaxTac Personality: Loyal to a fault, little patience for bullshit, a bit of a temper on him, is disgusted by corporations preying on civilians and using their weaknesses against them, always pays his debts. History: Former MaxTac who quit after he disobeyed an order that would have let innocent civilians get slaughtered in the crossfire. He works freelance to pay his bills but is listless when Varric stumbles across him. His discharge from MaxTac was less than honorable but he doesn't give a shit. He wasn't going to kill the same civilians he swore to protect. He and Varric say they owe each other but it's just a pretense. Knight will go if Varric needs him and vice versa. Except the last job Varric went on. Knight wasn't able to make it and that haunts him.

Romance: Kaidan Alenko

Personality: If Bioware gave Mass Effect OT the purple options like they did Hawke, that would be Vix Shepard. Sarcastic, scrappy, survivor, and takes absolutely no bullshit from anyone. If there had been an option to flip off The Illusive Man and the Council, she would have done it. Hates authority figures that act like dictatorship.

Best Friends: Tali and Garrus are her ride or die. She and Joker are complete menaces to each other. Peak sibling energy there.

Jacek Thorn

Name: Jacek Thorn Age: 26 Race: Elf Family: Senna Thorn Faction: Grey Wardens Class: Mage Specialization: Spell Blade Personality: Jacek is absolutely a laidback, goofy guy.  He likes making people smile with a joke or compliment.  He has little to no temper, and it takes a lot to get him angry to begin with.  He’s got a charm that makes him seem lovable.  He’s also incredibly stubborn.  As much as his twin sister is.  Jacek likes to make people feel good and relaxed around him.  He’s also clumsy and isn’t that athletic, but will push himself for a mission.  Much to his sister’s annoyance, he’ll over exert himself at times. Quirks: Jacek is good at botany.  He enjoys gardening (though he’ll never admit it to Senna despite her already knowing) and growing all sorts of plants.  He feels most at home in Harding’s little area in the Lighthouse with all the plants.  His room also reflects his love of plants and growing things. Relationships to the rest

Harding: Jacek is a little intimidated at first but determined to help Harding find her answers.  He finds her as awkward as he is when it comes to flirting and falls even more for her.

Neve: Jacek is 100% intimidated by Neve.  It takes him a long time to overcome his awkwardness, but when he does he finds Neve is a good and loyal friend to have.  He enjoys talking about her cases and Neve finds Jacek is a good sounding board.

Davrin: Seeing as Davrin is going to be his brother-in-law (that choice does not exist in the Twins AU), Jacek does his damn best to get along with Davrin.  It’s difficult at first because they have vastly different experiences as Grey Wardens, but Davrin sees Jacek is trying.  He also sees how fiercely loyal Jacek is to his friends.

Emmrich: Jacek is fascinated by necromancy, especially since Nevarra doesn’t have much blight to worry about.  He likes reading books and can discuss theoretical situations with Emmrich.  He respects Emmrich’s experience and knowledge as a mage and a Mourn Watcher.  Jacek also appreciates his help regarding the Harding situation.

Bellara: Jacek will ramble with Bellara as they talk about different elven artifacts.  He listens to her and respects her opinions on things.  Especially if the thing falls into her area of expertise.  Jacek understands how complicated sibling relationships can be, and he does his best to support Bellara.

Lucanis: Jacek was terrified of him at first, but he got to know him.  Jacek warms up to him and they swap stories about Venatori and different missions.  He can even join in with Davrin and Lucanis with weirdest shit seen.

Taash: Jacek was awestruck when he saw Taash for the first time.  Just whoa.  He is incredibly respectful of their talent and skills.  Their brash nature and his laidback nature do clash on occasion but for the most part they get along just fine.

Mariposa de Riva

Name: Mariposa de Riva Age: 27 Race: Elf Pronouns: She/her Class: Mage Specialization: Spell blade Family: She has no biological family that she knows of.  Her first memories are of being trained with the Crows. Personality: Mariposa has a very low self image of herself.  Very low self-esteem.  It takes her a long time to warm up to people because of that.  When she does open up, she’s a very warm and caring person.  She remembers little details about people and likes seeing their smiles when she gives it to them.  Contradicatory for being an assassin, but Mariposa likes making those close to her smile.  She’ll also fight tooth and nail to protect them.  She respects authority figures (except Solas and the evanuris), but won’t blindly obey them.  She has a bit of a temper that really only shows up if someone isn’t taking care of themselves well (*cough* Lucanis *cough* Neve *cough*).  All in all, Mariposa just likes taking care of people.  As such sometimes she gets taken advantage of, but never for long.  Mariposa likes giving but she absolutely refuse if someone tries to manipulate her. Ship: Lucanis.  And Lucanis/Mariposa/Neve.  Mari has two hands damn it

Relationship with the Veilguard

Taash: Mariposa likes Taash.  She doesn’t always understand where they’re coming from, but Mari sees how Taash means well in their actions.  Mariposa is also not far behind Taash when it comes to dragon fights.  (Godspeed Lucanis and Neve).  Mari also works out with Taash.

Emmrich: Mariposa greatly respects Emmrich.  While she doesn’t quite see him as a father figure, she absolutely respects his counsel.  They chat over tea and trade stories.  Emmrich can’t wrap his head around Mariposa being an Antivan Crow given her personality.  Mari loves Manfred too and will play with him when he wants.

Davrin: They clash a little bit because Mariposa isn’t the most aggressive/stoic person.  They do find a balance eventually.  Davrin sees that she approaches conflict differently than he does but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing.  Mariposa is able to gain a bit more confidence thanks to Davrin.  Assan helps her as well and Mariposa absolutely spoils the hell out of the griffon.

Harding: Mariposa and Harding get along well.  They both have somewhat unhealthy coping mechanisms and so tackle that together.  They’re supportive of one another and absolutely have each other’s backs.

Bellara: Mariposa loves Bellara.  She’ll be in her little lab area listening while gently directing Bellara towards food or a nap.  Aggressively making sure she does self care.  Mariposa does her best to support Bellara when it comes to her brother and assures her that she’ll never find her annoying.  Mariposa knows what it’s like to be called that and she knows Bellara isn’t annoying.  Just different.  And Mariposa loves that about her.

Lucanis: Never did Mari feel more pressure than when she was ordered to free the Demon of Vyrantium from an underwater Venatori prison.  It takes her so long to warm up and open up to Lucanis because she was very much cowed by his title and position in the Crows alone.  He is the First Talon’s grandson and she’s not even a highly respected member of her own house.  But she sees how broken he is and can’t help but want to help him.  She does like Spite and enjoys talking with him once Lucanis goes to sleep.  While she still doesn’t feel quite equal to Lucanis, she does gain her confidence in her relationship with him.

Neve: Mariposa was awestruck the first time she saw Neve, and quickly had to hide it.  She knew of Neve from some Tevinter papers, and had followed her cases when she had some spare time.  To meet her in person was a bit awe inspiring.  It cut at her when she made her choice, but was happy Neve seemed to gradually come around.  They grew close once Mari saw the woman behind the name and she felt comfortable around her.  Though she had abysmal self care habits, and Mari made sure to take care of her.  Subtly mind you.

Cara Valisti

Cara of House Valisti. Mage of the Antivan Crows that dabbles in blood magic. She is childhood friends with Illario and Lucanis, as much as you can be while being raised in the Antivan Crows. She's plotting to get the Third Talon seat. She's made her moves to manipulate the merchant princes ships, leaving the trail pointing to her current head of house. When they call for their head, she'll grab the seat for herself.

Is in an absolutely messy relationship with Illario. This is the epitome of "Make each other worse". The sex is good and Illario gives her an insider look at what the Talons are plotting. Whether he realizes it or not. Illario thinks she's a brainless fool infatuated with him and an easy mark. Cara has no doubt Illario plans to pin some of his nastier plots on her if he gets exposed and she has her own escape routes planned instead.

I am writing for them but it's not going to be an entire story. More like a bunch of oneshots pinned together for them. There's an overarching story but I can't commit to anything heavy anymore. Cara has her own allies that Illario has no idea about.

Allies

Antes Fjord - a Southern Templar that has sworn to protect Cara ever since she saved him from a darkspawn horde attack. He's been slowly corrupted by Cara over the years he's served her and now he is loyal even in the face of blood magic. She holds his lyrium leash but he would stay even if she didn't have that.

Beres-Taar - Calls himself that as he is the shield for Cara. The Antaam threw him out before they defected, claiming he was too sadistic even for them. He works under her as she gives him the ability to satisfy his urge to torture and maim, and she does not look down on him for it. He doesn't question the people she gives him, just that she gives him what he wants. She has him on a leash as well, one he adores since it's her.

Ashia Laidir

Name: Ashia Laidir Age: 29 Race: Elf Pronouns: She/Her Class: Mage Specialization: Evoker.  She helped a Shadow Dragon mage get a small group of slaves out of Tevinter and taught her the ice magic in exchange. Family: Has a cousin, Mi'revasan Laidir, who is also a Lord of Fortune but turns to the Crows. She belongs to @shaken-veil Personality: Feral housecat pretty much describes Ashia.  She is prickly, doesn’t have a filter, and has a temper.  She’s also very caring and soft with those she is friends with.  She absolutely despises blood magic and she lets you know who have it when she finds out.  Easily bribed with food and/or shiny rocks.  Ashia prizes loyalty above all else given what happened to her in the Lords of Fortune.  She tries to find happiness in small things, grand gestures aren’t needed for her.  She also doesn’t like talking about feelings.  So when she falls for a certain dragon hunter, she gets all jumbled up inside about it.

Has been told she has the mouth of a sailor.  Cares for children and animals.  Hates seeing cruelty towards both and is a good way to get frozen by her ice.  She’s absolutely fascinated by Manfred and is comfortable around Spite.  Spirits don’t bother her being from Rivain.

Also hates her baby face so much, but does grow to accept it eventually. Ship: Taash Relationships with the Veilguard:

Bellara: Ashia and Bellara get along well.  Ashia absolutely pays attention when Bellara goes on about the ancient magic artifacts and ancient ruins.  One because it makes Bellara happy, and two she delves into ancient elven ruins for the Lords of Fortune so win-win.  Ashia absolutely gives Anaris a piece of her mind and none of it is fit for polite company.

Neve: Ashia respects the Shadow Dragons and what Neve is doing in Minrathous.  She just hates the choice she was forced to make, but does her best to show Neve she will always be there.  They finally reach a good point in their friendship and go kick Aelia’s ass together.

Davrin: Ashia likes Davrin and he patiently taught her how to carve wood.  After the final battle, Ashia continues carving the figures Davrin was working on.  She loved Assan so much and was devastated by what happened.  Ashia carries the guilt with her forever.  She carves a griffon that looks like Assan to carry with her too.

Harding: Ashia and Harding get along well.  Ashia has actually been to Ferelden so they bond over that since Ashia knows the culture.  They grow to be good friends through Harding’s journey as Ashia can’t apologize enough for what the elves did.  They vow to get rid of the rest of the evanuris and then go to Ferelden afterwards to help reconstruction.

Lucanis: Ashia has absolutely zero issues with the assassin and his demon roommate.  Ashia will trade stories with Lucanis about crazy jobs and the like.  She enjoys watching Lucanis and her cousin fall helplessly in love because they’re both so damn awkward it’s funny.

Emmrich: Ashia is absolutely fascinated by necromancy, she doesn’t understand it but wants to.  To help with any restless undead when she delves into ruins and the like.  She also loves Manfred and will not be teaching him any swear words.  That Emmrich knows.  She respects spirits and the cultural stuff around the Necropolis.  She has an idea of how it is to be outcast for your culture.

Taash: It was instantly smitten with Ashia and Taash.  Ashia just looked up at Taash and went whoa inside her mind.  The fact Taash is a fierce warrior who is struggling to find themselves and find acceptance in a multicultural identity is something Ashia respects.  They find they have a lot in common as they travel.  Ashia helps Taash learn elvhen and Taash helps her learn Qunlat.  Mostly the curse words though.  Ashia once slipped up and called Taash vhenan and Bellara never let her live it down.  Taash had to ask about what it meant later.

Vat'Asala

Name: Vat’Asala (pronounced like vadasala), but goes by Asala Age: 29 Race: Qunari Pronouns: They/them, Asala is nonbinary Faction: Lords of Fortune Class: Warrior Specialization: Slayer (Asala wields the two handed weapon) Personality: Asala is fairly easy going.  They don’t let a lot ruffle their feathers, but will fight fiercely on the battlefield.  They like learning history, but lacks the discipline for actual study.  Asala loves animals and practically adopts Assan as soon as they see the griffon.  They like the romance aspect of dating and will go out of their way to treat their partner special.  Even if said partner gets confused with it. Quirks: Asala has very nice handwriting, which shocks anyone that knows them.  Asala is a good cook and will volunteer to cook so Lucanis and Bellara can get a break.  Food is a love language for them, and they’ll learn what a person likes so they can make it.  Asala gets flustered with words and super direct flirting (which surprises Neve the first time she heard them, but as she says she likes trouble) Ship: Neve. It's such a sweet romance and Asala needs a sweet path.

Relationships with the Veilguard

Harding – Asala enjoys talking with Lace and learning about her gardening.  If they find a plant Harding might like, they’ll grab it for her.  If Lace is having nightmares, Asala will brew a tea their mother made that helped them fall asleep as a child.  Sweetening it just a little as they know it’s fairly bitter.

Davrin – Greatly respects the Grey Warden.  They don’t have too much in common but Asala gets along with him.  They aren’t close but aren’t enemies either.

Lucanis – As a Rivaini, Asala has little problem with Spite.  They do find it frustrating that Lucanis keeps a wall between himself and the rest of the group.  Asala does their best to chisel away at it and helps Lucanis with Spite with whatever he decides.

Neve – To be quite honest, Neve is slightly intimidating to Asala.  Then Asala got to know Neve and found themselves falling head over heels for the Tevinter mage. They would do anything to protect Neve.

Bellara – Asala finds it fascinating watching Bellara. To see where her mind will connect A to B to D to Z.  They find it hard to keep up sometimes, but they’re still fascinated it.  As a treasure hunter, they also like learning about the old ruins and traps.

Emmrich – Asala absolutely knows nothing about necromancy, but does take the time to learn from Emmrich.  They find that Emmrich enjoys reading the same non-fiction books that Asala does.  They bond over that and Asala likes Manfred.

Taash – Asala likes Taash and they bond over their shared multicultural heritages. They also compete to see who can lift up their cute girlfriends the most.

Odette Ingellvar

Name: Odette Ingellvar Age: 36 Faction: Mourn Watch Class: Mage Specialization: Spellblade Weapon: Orb and dagger Personality: Odette is very polite, mild-mannered, and courtesy when outside of battle.  She likes to make sure everyone is taken care of.  Her very nature is nurturing and she wants to make everyone comfortable and at home.  Odette is very much against the idea of harming others for the sake of fun or for some grand scheme of things.  She would rather spend an evening with tea and curled up in her favorite chair.  Once Odette stands on the battlefield, her personality is very different.  She will exhaust any other means of resolving a situation rather than fight, but if you push her to the battlefield, you will regret it.  She fills the battlefield with fire and lightning and absolutely obliterates her foes. Quirks: She is a rather adept cook and will help Lucanis and Bellara with cooking duties.  Odette enjoys shiny things, like a magpie, and collects trinkets at the various markets she sees.  She’s never really been outside of Nevarra so she collects trinkets that showcase the local culture to bring back with her. Relationships:

Emmrich: Odette loves Emmrich and does what she can to ease his fears about mortality.  She’s accepted her own mortality but understands the fear that lingers.  She also loves sitting with him and reading in silence, but also the debates they can get into regarding the Mourn Watch.  Odette thinks of Manfred as a son and will absolutely protect him with her life.

Bellara: Odette adores Bellara and will let her ramble as long as she wants.  Even if she doesn’t quite grasp the subject matter, all that Odette cares about is Bellara being happy and accepted.  They can talk for hours about magical theory, but Odette does try to understand the more intricacies of elven magic and artifacts.  She also brings Bellara some tea that helps soothe the mind and helps sleep.  She fusses over her not getting enough rest.

Lucanis: The man does not sleep nearly enough, even though Odette understands his hesitation in doing so.  She researches everything she can about demonic possession and contacts some old friends who deal with possession to see what they know.  She also writes to Lady Cassandra Pentaghast to ask about what happened with the Seekers.  She’ll also mother Lucanis if he lets her, but she enjoys talking with him.

Neve: Odette doesn’t quite get Neve’s point of view on most things, but she does enjoy her company.  They can talk magic and mysteries all day.  Odette will also make sure Neve gets the rest she needs and ensures she has tea or coffee when she needs it.

Taash: Odette loves them.  She supports them in their journey to discovering themselves and will not hesitate to stand up to their mother.  Odette can’t be mean to Taash’s mother, but she won’t restrain her opinions.  Odette lets Taash help her gain more muscle strength and they swap stories as much as Odette can.  She does try to help Taash grow more comfortable with necromancy, despite not being a necromancer herself.

Harding: Odette enjoys sitting in Harding’s greenhouse when she can.  Being stuck in the Necropolis, she never saw much greenery outside of what grew in the gardens.  Odette found she loves plants and Harding enjoys teaching her about them all.  They bond over gardening, even though Odette does not have the talent for growing plants.

Davrin: Odette doesn’t quite see eye to eye with Davrin but they find common ground with monsters.  Odette hasn’t fought that many outside of the Necropolis but Davrin can’t fault her knowledge in fighting the undead.  Plus, Odette spoils Assan.  She writes his book for him because he commented on her handwriting being better than his.

Solas: Odette does not trust Solas.  She knows the kind of one track mind he possesses and knows the kind of damage that can be left behind in its wake.  She fully expects him to betray her and outsmart her.

Senna Thorn

Name: Senna Thorn Age: 26 Race: Elf Faction: Grey Wardens Class: Rogue Specialization: Duelist Personality: Senna is very outgoing and isn’t afraid of saying what she means even if that accidentally offends someone else.  She has 0 tact.  Is not shy about nudity either, can be found walking with her shirt wide open in the Lighthouse.  She wears clothes for other peoples’ comforts, but she doesn’t care.  After living in the Dalish camp and then in the Warden barracks, she’s pretty desensitized to nudity and sex in general.  Senna has a very casual approach to sex, but is very skittish about feelings.  Her temper is easy to spark in certain situations, if innocents are being hurt and if the people in charge are being stupid.  (So she gets along great with the First Warden).  She’s also rather short and hates being looked down on because of it.  Height jokes are a great way to find out that she’s tiny but mighty. Quirks: Senna is a surprisingly good cook, but keeps that to herself.  She loves Bellara’s and Lucanis’s cooking, so she won’t let it slip she does know how.  She’s a much better baker though, and doesn’t mind making treats for the Lighthouse.  Senna adores Assan and Manfred.  They are her children and if anything happened to them, she’d burn the fucking world down. Ship: Davrin

Relationships to the rest

Harding: Senna and Harding get along well.  Senna respects the hell out of what Harding did to find Solas and all the shit she went through in Inquisition.

Neve: Senna and Neve get along fine.  Their personalities are a bit on the opposite sides of the spectrum but both can respect the kind of power each wield.  They do find common ground with pastries and mysteries.

Davrin: Senna and Davrin get along really well.  They do have their disagreements about most things, but value talking things through instead of letting tempers snap.

Emmrich: Senna was a bit hesitant at first because she was not familiar with necromancy at all, but she sees the respect Emmrich has for the dead.  He isn’t treating them as slaves or as mindless things to control.  She also respects the kind of dedication it takes to get to his level of learning.  She isn’t a book person herself, but she loves listening to stories.

Bellara: Senna will protect Bellara with her life.  There are times Bellara’s chattering will get on Senna’s nerves but she knows it’s not malicious.  Bellara just gets excited and starts talking so Senna sits and listens.  Even if she doesn’t understand a damn thing Bellara is explaining.  When it comes to Bellara’s personal quest, Senna is right by her side supporting her friend.

Lucanis: Senna respects the hell out of the Antivan Crow.  He’s learned to live with his demons (literally) and she will give him all the respect he deserves.  They fight well together on the battlefield and she loves his cooking.  Senna also makes sure they stock up on his favorite coffee from Antiva.

Taash: Senna likes Taash.  They’re a brilliant warrior that is just trying to live their life.  Senna can’t fault them for that.  She absolutely wants to sit on Taash’s shoulders and rain arrows down on their enemies, but she’ll let Harding do that.

Name: Thalia Age: 302 Race: High-elf Class: Cleric Deity: Selune Quirks: Thalia is rather go with the flow, but always on the side of good.  She worships Selune but is not a fanatical worshipper.  Thalia loves working with children and has an orphanage in Baldur’s Gate she’s trying to get back to that she runs. Personality: Thalia has a slow to burn temper but a surefire way to piss her off is to be cruel to children.  She is inherently kind which pisses off half her starting group.  Thalia treats everyone fairly as long as they do right by her.  She can overlook certain traits that may clash with hers if it means the greater good is achieved.  Thalia is gentle and is a great comfort if someone just needs a shoulder to lean on and talk about what happened.  They can form strategy later, Thalia knows that sometimes just having someone who understands is a blessing in itself. Romance: Thalia avoids romance with anyone.  She’s content to be by herself and raise the children at the orphanage.  Halsin flirted with her but Thalia believes in monogamy.  She knows Halsin doesn’t and so they go their separate ways with no hard feelings between each other. Thoughts on the others:

Wyll: His heart is in the right place, but he went about it in the entirely wrong direction.  She will help him end his deal with Mizora if she can. Lae’zel: She doesn’t understand the fanatical way the gith worship Vlaakith.  She helps Lae’zel as she breaks free of the beliefs she once took comfort in and finds her new path. Karlach: Thalia likes the tiefling.  She wishes to help with Karlach’s infernal engine but short of a divine miracle, it wasn’t going to happen.  She makes sure to keep an eye on her and help her be as comfortable as possible. Gale: She wonders about his tendency to run headlong into things without thinking about them and that lust for power that lurks beneath the surface.  Even if she knew it was just to impress Mystra.  Thalia dislikes the goddess of magic and won’t hesitate to fuss over Gale if it’s about Mystra.  Gale gets more of a harder push than some of the others because she wants him to see how Mystra used him.  If she could smack a goddess, Thalia would step right into that realm with club in hand. Astarion: A vampire wasn’t something Thalia ever thought she’d side with, but Astarion surprised her.  She knew he was being manipulative when they first met, she didn’t get three centuries under her belt by being naïve.  She gave him the time and space he needed to feel comfortable with her, but she was surprised to hear it was Cazador that was his master.  Thalia had dealings with the elusive vampire and her temper flared when she realized Cazador “adopted” some of the children from the orphanage only to kill them or turn them into spawn.  If Astarion doesn’t kill the bastard, Thalia will. Shadowheart: They get on as oil and water at first.  Given their worship of enemy goddesses.  Thalia gave Shadowheart the benefit of the doubt and saw how her internal struggle ravaged her spirit.  She gives Shadowheart as much support as she can.  The Nightsong quest is where things take a turn for the good in that friendship.  Thalia helps Shadowheart after she turns her back on Sharr and welcomes her without any judgement.  By the time they reach Baldur’s Gate, Thalia thinks of Shadowheart as a friend.

Finn Aldwir

Name: Finn Aldwir, formerly Lavellan

Age: 25

Faction: Veil Jumpers

Class: Rogue

Specialization: Veil Ranger

Weapon: Bow More Screenshots: Regular, Bellara and Finn, and more

Quirks: Finn is desperate to get out from the shadow of his mother.  He changed his name, dyed his hair, and refused to take any vallaslin.  He likes to play a guitar in his downtime and knows all of the songs Maryden taught him at Skyhold.  He picked up a few more traveling with the Veil Jumpers.  He is not happy when Varric contacts him in Arlathan Forest to find Solas.  He is double unhappy when he realizes he is now stuck with Solas.

Relationships with others:

Inquisitor Lavellan: That is his mother.  They have a complicated relationship because even after everything Solas did, his mother refused to kill Solas.  She wanted to make him see reason and Finn couldn’t understand why she didn’t want to stop Solas.  As soon as he turned eighteen he left.  He’s got lots of complicated feelings surrounding his mother.

Solas: Finn never lets a day go by that he doesn’t let Solas feel his ire.  At first Solas didn’t recognize him, it had been so long and Finn was no longer that teenage boy desperate for approval.  Once Solas realized who he was their relationship was icy at best.  Finn wanted to stop Solas, but he was also so angry at Solas for hurting his mother.  No matter how mad he was at Roisin, he knew she did not deserve what Solas had done to her.  Maybe they’ll finally get along, maybe not.  They come to a mutual understanding eventually that they need to work together to save the world. Finn never quite forgives the betrayals from Solas in the end.

Varric Tethras: Finn respects the dwarf but repeatedly tells him that he needs to retire.  Roisin can handle looking for Solas but he gets ignored.  Finn thinks of him as the uncle that will spring you from mom’s punishment.  So he has a good relationship with Varric. It devastates him when he learns the truth of what happens to Varric.

Bellara: He's in love with this woman. Absolutely, head over heels, fool in love with her. He's skittish because he's got some issues with abandonment, but he'll pull through for her. Finn regrets keeping his family a secret from her when she finally figures out who his mother is. They overcome it and grow together.

Emmrich: Finn honestly does not get necromancy, but he respects the hell out of Emmrich. To get to his level requires dedication and patience, of which Finn lacks a heap of. He's still a little formal around Emmrich, but does like the man.

Lucanis: Finn and Lucanis get along splendidly, as do Finn and Spite. They found common ground and a love of coffee (something Finn picked up while at Skyhold). He makes sure Lucanis gets whatever coffee and groceries he needs.

Neve: Finn and Neve get along splendidly. He earns her trust back after the major decision early in the game. It takes him a bit, but he manages to show her that he really is there for his friends. That she can count on him.

Taash: Finn and Taash are two peas in a pod when it comes to causing trouble. They are always there for Finn and Finn returns the favor. Especially when Taash is figuring out what they want from themselves. They have a cheerleader in Finn.

Davrin: They disagree on how to face the world a bit, but they have a good relationship. Though Davrin chastises Finn for spoiling Assan a little too much. They carve wood together but whereas Davrin carves monsters, Finn likes to carve animals.

Harding: Harding was so surprised when Finn revealed who he was, and she did remember him once he said his former last name. They get along just as well as they did back in Inquisition. They both share a love of greenery and Finn makes sure that Harding has all she needs with it. He looks to her like an older sister, just like back then.

Rhys Shepard

Name: Rhys Shepard

Age: 33

Specialization: Infiltrator

Quirks: Rhys is a hard core survivor, she will be ruthless if it means her and her crew will make it out alive. She doesn't believe in unnecessary sacrifices (so in her canon both Kaidan and Ashley are alive)

Background: Earthborn, Sole Survivor

History: Rhys started as a grunt and worked her way up the ladder, almost clawing up at some points in time. After Akuze the Alliance brass sent her in for N7 special ops and training.

Results of the War: Rhys faces the final battle alone, shoving everyone back onto the ship before she runs off. She won't let anyone sacrifice themselves for her. She chooses the destroy ending and does survive. Rhys retires after surviving the Reaper war and lives quietly on a small homestead surrounded by her animals.

Ships: Rhys has two main ships that I write her in.

Garrus Vakarian - she understands the need to prove yourself and how restrictive the rules can be when all you want is to see justice. She cares a lot for Garrus which surprises her because she's never been one to form strong emotional attachments. A perk of how she grew up, but she'd walk through hell for Garrus Vakarian.

Thane Krios - Rhys respected his relationship with Kolyat and helped him see where things could be better. Not that she'd be an expert on parents as she grew up without them. She sees the inner struggles Thane goes through and finds herself wanting to help him. They spend many nights talking philosophy and regrets they had in their lives. She secretly asks Mordin to see if he could come up with something to help cure Thane's condition. Before Mordin sacrifices himself on Tuchanka (which she does try to stop but ultimately respects Mordin's decision) he gives her the cure to the genophage and tells her he sent the cure to the Citadel for Thane.

Yvette

Name: Yvette Nickname: Mum, Hunter Mum, Old Lady (by Cayde and the very brave) Specialization/Class: Hunter, Void bow subclass, Strand later on Age: She has been around as long as Saladin has.  The “Dark Age” when Guardians were first revived Quirks: She takes the new Hunters that arrive under her wing, making sure they get a good start in their lives as Guardians.  Yvette is officially “retired” but can be convinced to go along with some shenanigans if the situation calls for it. History: Yvette was revived on a small island in the Pacific Ocean (specifically the island of Oahu) and was dragged against her will to join Saladin’s fight against the Warlords.  She has not stopped bitching about the cold ever since. Family: Aine and Saladin are her two oldest friends, and Aine is like a sister to her.  Fireteam Siren, Crow, Nevia, the current Vanguard, and all new Hunters are considered her children.  She will not hesitate to wade through chaos to get to the troublemakers if they are one of her kids.  Also Kura and Ajun are her children with little Ciana as her honorary granddaughter.  Yvette proudly accepts the name Nana that Ciana calls her, despite still looking in her 20s. Extras: Yvette spends the Festival of the Lost remembering Andal Brask and Jaren Ward.  Two of her closest friends and once lovers before they died.  She was once joined by Shiro and Cayde, but now she holds the vigil by herself as Shiro doesn’t come to the Tower anymore.  She burns a candle for Cayde as well, knowing he’d be fussing at her the entire time.  Yvette is also the one who adopted Colonel after Cayde’s passing. Relationships: Yvette’s two lovers are both gone and she remains single.  She claims to prefer it this way, but she just hasn’t wanted to look.  She has a rather dark humor outlook on the entire thing.

I have an idea for a ship for Yvette, but I’m still trying to figure out if it will work with her or not.  It might.  I once shipped this one with Siobhan (and I still do to an extent but my current hyperfixation is Crow/Siobhan).  We shall see how it goes.

Veronique "V"

Name: Veronique “V” Age: 28 Specializations: Reflexes, Body, and Cool.  Best driver in Night City (according to V anyway), doesn’t mind busting in some knee caps to get answers Background: A Nomad out of Dixie, specifically Louisiana.  She grew up in the creole culture there with her grandmother raising her in the old ways.  Took to the Nomad lifestyle when her grandmother passed and she came out to Night City to make a name for herself. Car: Quadra Type 66 Avenger Favorite Fixers: Dakota, Reyes Relationships (Platonic): Johnny:Johnny and V get on like oil and water at first.  V is petrified of the idea of dying alone and then having her body taken over.  Though afterwards she always jokes that “at least you’ll get some nice tits out of it”.  They find their own way of doing things and V even misses Johnny once they get separated River:V tolerates River.  She dislikes cops on principle and absolutely only works with him out of necessity.  Then she rescues his nephew because no kid deserved the fate that awaited that boy.  River is really irritated when he figures out V calls him a dirty pig in creole. Judy: While V understands the anger and need for revenge behind Judy’s actions, she does her best to keep her out of trouble.  She sees Judy as a sister. Kerry:V loves his music and was escatatic to meet the rock star in person.  Johnny, however, almost threw up because of it.  V and Kerry remain on good terms after the events at Arasaka Tower. Panam: V and Panam become good friends.  They are both Nomads who share a love for family but also chafed at the restrictions placed on them.  (It is a crying shame we did not get to romance Panam as a female V) Mama Welles: V loves Mama Welles, even when she’s on the receiving end of a lecture after getting shot at again.

Relationships (Romantic): Jackie Welles: Yes, in this one Jackie and Misty don’t stay together.  And Jackie lives.  V and Jackie take forever to figure out how they feel about one another, and the whole ‘don’t want to mess up our friendship plus you have an eco terrorist living in your brain’ thing gets in the way.  Night City was not prepared for the level of infamy that came with these two loose on the streets.

Evie "V"

Name: Evie “V” Age: 30 Specialization: Body, Cool, and Intelligent skills.  Prefers pistols and SMGs to anything else.  An average Netrunner. Background: Streetkid. Heywood born and bred Car: Herrera Outlaw GTS Favorite Fixers: Wakako, Padre, and Regina Relationships (Platonic): Johnny: Johnny and Evie are so sibling like it amazes people to find out they aren’t related.  After they get separated (in my headcanon), they still stay in touch with each other.  Night City has no idea what’s about to hit it. Mama Welles:Evie checks in with Mama every chance she gets.  So does Johnny once they get separated.  Mama Welles makes sure Evie is taken care of and that she has someone watching her back. Panam: V respects Panam and they have a great friendship.  No matter where Panam finds herself, she knows she can just call V for help. Judy:Judy is also close friends with Evie.  After all the times V worked to pull Judy’s ass out of the fire (not counting the times she jumped right into it alongside Judy), these two are practically sisters.  Evie is protective over Judy. River: They don’t have much to do with each other.  Evie slept with him, once, solely to piss Johnny off.  They both agreed it was best to go their separate ways.  No hard feelings, no romantic feelings, and no lingering feelings. Kerry: Kerry keeps tabs on Evie because it annoys Johnny that he does so.  Evie does her best to heckle Johnny right alongside Kerry (within reason).  The two aren’t the best of friends but Evie will always help out Kerry and bring him whatever rare vintage she finds on her jobs.

Relationships (Romantic) River: They slept together once.  No feelings involved other than petty on Evie’s part. Viktor: It took the old man a long time to come to terms with what he felt for Evie, but they wind up together.  He always asks if she’s sure she wants to be with some old gonk and Evie has to remind him who he’s talking to.  Surprisingly, he mellows out V’s reckless side a bit.  Johnny was thankful when they were sharing a brain because that was his body too, but he’s still somewhat grateful even in his own body.
