“I don’t like this song because I can’t relate to it” skill issue. I’m mad at my husband I love my girlfriend I’m a lone cowboy I’m growing old I’m growing up I’m depressed I love my friends I’m perpetually horny I’m drunk at the club I love my husband again
this is exactly what I’m talking about
I’m broke but I’m happy I’m poor but I’m kind I’m short but I’m healthy I’m high but I’m grounded -
Everything is $49 these days. I simply can’t fathom how anytime I want or need anything it’s always just $49. I’m sick of how every company wants $49 from me. My chest hurts.

chappell roan might be changing the game for the way celebrities are treated in public. this is why i will rarely cringe at con pictures: there’s a clear exchange happening there between fan and celebrity with rules and boundaries and space to refuse a request. it’s a business exchange, with mutual consent.
while some famous people might act nice / have grown used to / be open to fan interactions while they are going about their normal day ‘in the wild’, it’s good to think about: that is not normal. celebrities should be able to live relatively normally and privately and not be “on” all the time.
i hope chappell roan drawing clear boundaries sets a cultural shift in motion. this generation of artists and fans can be different and better.
