im alicja and this is my language learning/studying/hobby blog - I love scrapbooking, extreme metal, and starting collections of strange items! I've recently restarted my records collection and plan to focus on that in the foreseeable future.

i have a youtube channel, acornerofa, where I post weekly (doing my best) about my physical media collection, journals, and concerts!

07.05.26. i have been enjoying a relaxing admin week after i submitted my annual progress review last friday! lots of coffee, pastries, and a new cinnamon, honey + chamomile tea i have discovered that i <3. i also finished a collection of victor hugo’s verse yesterday at a coffee shop and it has made me excited to read more french poets

just two and a half weeks of class left in the term (and in my bachelor's degree). i'm starting to get that achey, full feeling in my chest whenever i think about it – four years is a long time, but the months, especially now, are short.

writing has been equally frustrating and rewarding. thankfully, i am not the only one who feels that way; my officemates also seem to be on the same boat. work has picked up as it is the end of the semester. while teaching has been fun, i am looking forward to the break.

spent the weekend studying in cafes and taking long walks because it’s been warmer outside than inside my house. enjoyed a bit of sunshine because this spring has been very cold and even though the days are longer, it doesn’t really feel like summer is coming.

The new year is a weird time, especially because Im so susceptible to marketing tactics lmao. I just need to breathe and remind myself I dont need all that new stuff to make my life beautiful in the new year; it already is beautiful just as it is.
