(via Scientists have successfully slowed down the process of aging; Anti-aging drug may hit the market in 2-3 year

Russian and Swedish scientists have reported a major breakthrough in slowing down the process of aging. The goal of the study is to know the role of mitochondria in the process of aging of the organism. They made an attempt to slow down aging by  introducing an artificial antioxidant SkQ1 into mitochondria.Professor Vladimir Skulachev, Co-author of the study said that the study helps to know the role of mitochondria in the aging process and also opens the way for the treatment of aging by using mitochondria targeted antioxidants. Researchers are now developing a set of pharmaceutical products based on antioxidant SkQ1.

Google combines Chrome OS and Android to develop Andromeda that works seamlessly across the devices

Imagine an operating system that is not device and hardware specific and offer a seamless experience across screens. Imagine an operating system that receives regular improvement updates just like the iOS does. Google is exactly doing this thing by marrying Android and Chrome OS to generate a new type of operating system called Andromeda. Andromeda is not a new project Google is working with. Google is developing this operating system for laptops which combines the best of Android and Chrome OS called actually as Fuchsia. Google hasn't actually tried to hide this project. People has discovered that Google is trying to replace the Android’s Linux kernel. Rather than saying that Chrome OS is merged into Android OS to form Andromeda, it is noteworthy to say that Chrome OS and Android OS merged to form a new operating system called Fuchsia. It’s worth noting that these operating systems had previously already begun to merge together to an extent, such as when the Android team worked with the Chrome OS team in order to bring Update Engine to Nougat, which introduced A/B updates to the platform.

Scientists develop a pain-free method, Resin Infiltration to fill cavities without drilling and numbing

The process of Resin Infiltration: Resin infiltration involves cleaning the cavity by pushing the gel via a perforated sheet. The tooth is then filled with a liquid resin via the perforated sheet. Finally, a dental curing light is applied to cure the resin. This an easy and painless therapy which will be very much accepted by the patients. And since no teeth will be removed, it is a more conservative method. Resin infiltration is possible when there is a cavity between the teeth or on smooth surfaces. If the cavities are on the teeth and if they are large, the method is not suited. Resin infiltration is approved by FDA and is currently available in Germany.

A new research reveals that older mothers are likely to give birth to a clever child than the mothers who gave birth in the twenties.

These days late pregnancies are being quite common as most women are focussing on their career and delaying the pregnancy. Until now, it is thought that the children born to older women will have highest cognitive ability than the children born to younger women.

This is now proved to be wrong in a new research. Researchers analyzed the data from three studies of children's development that were conducted in 1958, 1970 and 2001.

Researchers studied the children's ability to think, pay attention and read at their 10/11 years of age.

In the first two studies, children born to mothers aged 25 to 29 had the highest cognitive ability, the researchers found.In the study conducted in 2001, researchers found that the older mothers today tend to be more advantaged than the younger mothers. For example, they are well educated, are less likely to smoke during pregnancy and are established in professional jobs. Researchers also found that the cognitive abilities of children born to older mothers have changed over time.
