@selenophiliiaaa
I genuinely sometimes imagine Apollo like this.
Helios is the sun incarnate but Apollo is the rays of light as they peak through clouds and hit the ground, and Selene is the moon itself but it’s Artemis that tells the wilderness its time for bed, you know?
archaic greece Athena

I love the casual substitution of "gods" instead of "god" in colloquial sayings. "oh my gods" "gods, my feet hurt" etc etc. like yeah deconstruct the societal standard of monotheism with me. let's party
colours r a lil wonky on camera but heres my attempt to capture the likeness of Lady Nyx - i like to imagine she wears a translucent black veil over her crown/hair wrap and face
"I asked chatGPT" "I asked Grok" Have you tried asking Lady Athena, Goddess of wisdom? I'm sure she'd give you a better answer than AI ever will.
mother knows best
getting drunk on a monday night in honour of Lord Dionysus (and bc i have a homework assignment dedicated to Him)
Ares Obrimus (2026)
creates by soaking the wood panel in 7-10 layers of whiskey, then painting over it with a handmade egg yolk tempera paint using the ashes of incense as pigment
Not everything is a sign from the Theoi but the Theoi are in every little thing and I think that's beautiful.
potentially shouting into the abyss with this one, but im hoping people might be able to help me brainstorm stuff for my art practice (which relates to my religious practice i promise) - i recently made a piece dedicated to Lord Dionysus made entirely from wine ( here ), but this semester i was hoping to create more pieces for other deities along similar lines
so far, i have perfume and makeup for Lady Aphrodite, whiskey and (incense) ash for Lord Ares, wax for Lady Hekate, crystals for Lady Nyx, and a rough chamomile/lavender pillow concept for Lord Hypnos
however, im struggling for ideas for some of my other deities, like Lady Athena, Lady Artemis, Lord Zeus, Lord Poseidon, Lady Persephone and Lord Apollo, so if anyone has even the most basic of ideas i am More than happy to hear them, please and thank you :D
I've been collecting feathers to use in paintings lately - I think that could be adapted pretty easily to fit Athena (Owl epithet) or Hermes. Wrappers from study snacks?
Just UPG but I correlate Persephone with blood pretty heavily. Or possibly clay? Hands? Both a creater and a destroyer, the darkness before life and after death. salt? You might be able to find some asphodel depending on where you're located as well.
Maybe something community-based for Zeus. If you have a local constitution or manifesto you could print out. Cosmos. Voting ballots.
clay for Persephone is a brilliant idea !! im a lot more inclined to Her “darker” aspects and Her role as a goddess of rebirth n whatnot,, so that definitely feels like a fitting material !!
smth community based for Zeus would work wonderfully, too !!
thanks for the ideas <3
