I like going to church, it's nice to see what men 40-60 are up to. 😊🥰
My future husband thinking hes safe because I would never cheat. Not knowing I am infact insane
My desire to be famous on this app, keeps others from finding me
You know what would be really funny?
Is if when all of the denominations get to heaven and a Catholic inevitably asks "Which one of us was closer to how you wanted to be worshipped?"
And Jesus' just laughs but doesn't actually answer the question. Because the point was just to worship him.
I feel like after the snow white fiasco everyone who called me a misogynist owes me an apology. This is what happens when ppl don't stick to stories they respect.
Im sick of people trashing the 'damsel in distress. That simply means a girl who can't save herself. If you want to write a story about a girl who saves the day do so, but don't stomp on those who can't help themselves that's not what heroes do.
It's not so much that "damsel in distress" is fine actually. It's that anytime a woman accepts help, especially from a man, that she automatically gets labeled as one. Sometimes a woman just needs help and sometimes the person who offers that help is a man. There's nothing wrong with that.
That's fair
Im sick of people trashing the 'damsel in distress. That simply means a girl who can't save herself. If you want to write a story about a girl who saves the day do so, but don't stomp on those who can't help themselves that's not what heroes do.
when people are criticizing the "damsel in distress" as a trope, they are criticizing a broader pattern of women being treated as objects rather than subjects of stories. they are not telling an actual literal princess who has been locked in an actual literal tower that she's a little bitch.
Eh sometimes they are just doing a misogyny/internalized misogyny and calling the princess locked in a literal tower a little bitch. Some people do actually just shit on characters for not being constant badasses like that makes them inferior.
People who understand nuance and complexity and the fact it's good to have multiple types of characters at different skill levels/parts of their development journey and who have flaws (such as maybe starting out being conditioned to think they have no agency and then developing the confidence to say no to the world wanting to make them an object) do have these conversations in a way that actually points out the issues with tropes which - when unaddressed and non-developmental and designed entirely just to give the heroes something to make them look good by saving - continue to perpetuate the objectification of (usually) women. We can also have conversations about how important it is to value those multiple kinds of characters and not think that a 'strong female character' is only strong because she's capable of beating all the men at their own shitty toxic game that shouldn't be played by men either.
But there are people seeing this be called out who miss the actual point and do end up just perpetuating more shittiness by making the trope the fault of the character trapped in it, insinuating that not being able to fight or at least be clever enough to escape are unforgivable pathetic flaws, and far too often inevitably land right back in the territory of connecting those flaws to femininity itself and upholding patriarchal ideology around the inferiority of said feminine traits.
It is not inferior to be unable to fight or to be incapable of figuring out how to escape a situation.
Being unable to fight or figure out how to escape a situation are not exclusively feminine traits, though they're far too often equated as them.
But under all of that point, there is something that is still missed weirdly often, even by people who are supposed to be feminists (or egalitarian or humanist or whatever term you prefer).
Even if those were exclusively feminine traits, it is not inferior to be feminine.
And I think that's where too many people still take the normal, nuanced topic of challenging damsel in distress tropes and seeking agency and respect for multiple types of characters (without upholding toxic patriarchal attitudes just from a different angle), and take it right back to the same bullshit puddle everyone else was trying to pull it out of.
I'm assuming that's what OP meant.
That is what I meant. Sorry I may have accidentally deleted my account but that's what I meant.
Sometimes you can't immediately get out of a terrible situation. But even if you have a mild temperment doesn't mean you that you aren't capable of getting yourself out of trouble.
In fact it's sometimes harder to ask for help, because they're are all these remakes claiming that women are already perfect. When we're not. And saying otherwise is hateful towards women.
That's why I think Cinderella deserves more respect. There's strength in remaining kind through harsh situations. Otherwise you'll just be bitter and not be able to enjoy life or worse cause the next generation strife as well.
I want to see the 'damsel in distress', a woman who needs help. Not be shamed for being 'weak' because millions of women are currently in situations where going through the worst times of their life. And thats not their fault.
I want if they're going to portray it in film or books that the girl stay kind throughout. Because it's not something to overcome, it's something to embrace. I think it's amazing how even though women can be anything a majority are in careers like (nursing, social services, stay at home mom)
These careers are often looked down by people claiming to support women. "There aren't enough women CEOs!" If a woman wanted to be CEO, or doctor or lawyer she will be. But it's okay if she's not.
Sorry for the long reply, I didn't mean to go for so long😅

Don't trust headphone companies that sell wired headphones without the little stop gap. They want you to fail in life.
I feel like the Pyro archon is going to have a claymore. Maaaaybeeeee a big and brash attitude.
Kaveh gives off, "I may be scammed many times, but as long as I can help someone in need. I will." energy, and I love him.
My favorite thing about American cheese is that any mixture of two cheeses can be considered American cheese. Because American culture is made up of different cultures.🤗
I have discovered wise words from a wonderpets lore video. "I give respect until someone gives me a reason not too, not the other way around"
It's impossible to care about everyone, so just be kind and courteous to the ones you meet.
I hate when anyone belittles or says something doesn't matter in the film industry. Of course everything matters, It's so hard to make it into the film industry. You don't have to agree with each other but the least you can do is agree that every aspect matters.
That's why there are so many cast and crew. Even actors who seemingly have the same job all have different feelings and vibes.
Some of them can never play a certain role because the audience wouldn't believe it. Now that might sound sad. But if we stopped acting as if some forms of entertainment were better than others. This wouldn't be such a big deal.
