                It felt strange for Caroline to be back home. It was the same house, but everything within was different. With her travelling so much seeking out witches who could help her girls she often forgot what home felt like. Sighing the blonde followed the path towards Stefan’s room, halting in her tracks when she saw a familiar face. “ Hope Mikaelson. ” she said with such a proud voice, her face lighting up seeing her dearest friends daughter in the flesh. “ Thank god you look like your mother. ” she teased, knowing that if Klaus had been around she would have endured his brooding scowl for that comment.

                  A wide grin warped over the blonde’s lips as she found herself practically jumping onto Anakin’s back as he passed her. The disapproving look of his Master only brought a bigger smile to her lips. “ Evening Master Kenobi. ” she gracefully greeted before her attention turned back to him. “ I could hear you complaining from my bedroom. ” she teased, planting a gentle kiss to his cheek. Caroline may have been the senator’s daughter, but she had also grown close to Anakin over the years. Growing up with Jedi as a form of protection, it was inevitable for the pair to become friends. They had become so close over the years that the blonde had an annoying way of knowing when something was wrong, even when he tried hiding it from her. “What’s wrong?” she asked seeing that look on his face before dropping from his back. “Ani? What’s going on?” she questioned further her heart sinking in her chest the longer his silence continued.

                It had taken everything for Caroline to pack up and leave Mystic Falls, but after her mother’s death and the events that followed, she needed a fresh start. A place where she could grieve without the constant check ups from her friends. It had been little over a month now since she had moved in next door. Keeping herself very much to herself Caroline made very little effort to get to know her neighbors or even what they looked like, but when the music was blasting at 2am for the 3rd night in a row, the blonde could no longer drown it out. Climbing from her bed, the blonde slipped on a dressing gown, tying it closed as she walked the short distance across her apartment. Everything in her being was telling her to just ignore it, but enough was enough. Grabbing her keys from the side she slipped them into her pocket exiting out into the hallway. It was a short walk from her door to his and when she was face to face with the booming sound just beyond the door, the girl was quick to pound on the door. Her supernatural strength ensuring the hit to the door could be heard over the music. Each hit had her wondering what kind of person was within, what he or she looked like, but every image she had imagined was so far from the reality as he opened the door. “ Huh, you are so not what I expected. ” she commented, her arms instinctively folding over her chest.

Blonde curls bounced as she crossed the room, “ Ha! I may be pretty but I’m not an idiot Katherine. Ask one of your boy toys to get you some clothes.” Caroline quipped searching through her vast array of earrings. After a hot minute the girl finally opted for a pair of hooped earrings. As she pushed the silver through the hole, the blonde was quick to point at Katherine “ But leave Matt out of it! ” she warned.
