Luke grits his teeth. The truth is that yes, his heart is pounding, his breath is coming in short bursts and it’s taking all his strength to keep his legs upright. He’s terrified. He hasn’t come face to face with the mechanical monstrosity since Bespin but he’s been the subject of his nightmares plenty. Luke flexes his right hand, as if absurdly making sure that it’s actually still attached. The phantom pain still lingers after what happened the las time they met.

“ What do you care ? “ He responds through his teeth, straightening his shoulders in his best attempt to keep a brave stance despite a slight tremor in his voice already betraying him. He can’t show any weakness; this is Darth Vader, the monster that tortured and let Han be kidnapped, the one who’s murdered thousands if not millions of innocents. And, something whispers in his mind, he’s your father. He pointedly chooses to ignore that thought.

“ It’s me that you want , right ? So take me ! Just let the other rebels go ! “ He exclaims, going anywhere with that murderer is the last thing he wants to do. But his capture in exchange for the entire squad’s lives... It’s not a hard calculation to make.

            Eivor had a strange feeling someone was watching her. She has a small idea why someone would be watching her or even following her. She did steal quite a few things, but she did it as subtly as she could. Guess that didn’t go as planned. Averting her gaze to the tree that she imagined the person would be, she quickly grasped one of her axes and threw it into a tree without hesitance.                       ❝Show yourself, ergi.❞

THE NIGHTS SEEMED LONGER than usual ; emptier, darker. green orbs were longing through the darkness and searched for the all too familiar figure. one he could always count on, one he proudly called   b r o t h e r . heavy breaths lifted his chest under the dark robe and obi’s fingers pinched the bridge of his nose. small eyes and dark circles gave away the exhaustion and yet his body couldn’t find a minute of solid sleep. obi wan had felt the shift in the universe. the powers were changing and the force no longer a friend of the good people. anakin included. the blond haired man worried about him; he could almost feel his anger and frustration growing with each day. and he feared for the day his companion could no longer hold control over them.

 with a small tilt of the head and a smile that was almost invisible in the gloomy light, obi wan noticed the other. “can’t sleep as well, my friend ?” his voice was soft and low; careful not to wake the others, but still loud enough for anakin to hear. his body leaned against the cold window, arms crossed. concern washed over his tired features and obi wan allowed himself to take a closer look at him. “━ another nightmare ?” ⇾ a starter for @darthwclker​ ( and yes, i’ve been listening to dynasty far too often now )
