Base meeting in the kitchen. With so many leaders on the grounds, it's decided that (due to manly pride) the collective soldiers need to choose who they deem the best.

Sandman stares down his misfits with a dangerous look in his eyes. Choose him or pay the consequences.

Soap just leans back against the island, confused as to why this is even a thing they are doing right now.

Price, even though he won't show it, is confident he will be crowned. None of the others are half as good as him.

Konstantin is actually seconds away from being chosen (because honestly how could the nice Russian Captain lose?) when a murmur goes through the crowd. He isn't chosen. Apparently the Kamarov guy says his Captain hates babies. 

There is more whispering. There is no way they can choose one of the candidates standing up there. Someone asks where Spartan is. It seems he found the entire thing "a damn waste of time" and didn't show. Can't choose him. 

Suddenly a loud yawn is heard and everyone watches as Bishop strolls into the room. He is wearing tight boxer briefs and his hair is a mess. There is silence as he pours himself some coffee and when he turns around everyone is just watching him. He asks them what they want and they unanimously name him best leader. He shakes his head and heads for the exit. "Just go back to bed you bloody wankers. It's too early for this shite."

Yes. He is definitely the best leader.

141 hotties over 40 contest. The race is close until a new contestant is entered. The blue eyed loyalist captain wins by a landslide. Someone in the back shouts that he 'doesn't even go here.' Someone else responds with 'who fuckin cares' Kostya is just confused by the task force and doesn't understand how it can properly run with activities like this taking place.

Command says the loyalists must go. All except that hot older captain. Kostya is confused but orders his unit to leave anyway. Kamarov is about to object but the entire 141 is behind the captain and 90% are staring at his ass. Kamarov cannot leave his captain to this pack of beasts. That is why kostya is gone too. Kamarov drags him away (and takes Ames too until Eilidh takes him back.)

Thirty-eight seconds. He felt the heat before he heard the explosion. Had he started walking thirty-eight seconds sooner, he would have been in it. He would felt the fire searing his skin. The screams of his brothers would have melded with his own screams. He would have been granted death.  He replayed the scene in his mind. Jerard had been by his side as he spoke to their contact. The gentlemen was older and not keen on giving up his native language. It was a barrier that was an inconvenience, but not surpassed. The barrier became Ames’ responsibility. He was excited by the chance to speak to the man and flex his knowledge of languages old and new.  Ames extracted the information his unit needed and had trailed off into casual conversation. He was fascinated by the man. Jerard nudged Ames, pulling him from his conversation. He nodded over to their vehicles where the others were laughing and shouting for Ames to hurry up. They called him an old man and laughed again. Ames just shook his head. Jerard left his side and joined the others.

But like, Angel the therapist, despite being huge and intimidating, has an office with teddy bears and candy.

A damn cot so guys can nap there if they need to.

Sometimes after sessions he can tell some guys need to hug it out, and even though he'd rather they take out their manly emotions on the teddy bear, he will occasionally ask if they need a hug.

But sometimes...

"You need a hug?"

"No, I think I'm okay."

"Good. I really didn't want to hug you."
