I've been thinking about actor AUs recently.
Thorfinn's interview quote is from an interview with Hayden Christensen.
✨Glasses Vince✨
Courtesy of a headcanon post by @wegotbanished
Vince Noir, a beautiful young witch, is determined to find a man to love him. In his gothic Victorian apartment he makes spells and potions, then picks up men and seduces them. However, his spells work too well, and he ends up with a string of hapless victims. When he at last meets the man of his dreams, detective Howard Moon, his desperation to be loved drives him to the brink of insanity and murder.
Me? Draw self-indulgent doodles? Fancy that!
I don’t know how many Booshlrs have seen The Love Witch, but I’ve been pretty fixated on the idea of a Boosh AU for it. Maybe it’s my love for witchy Vince, maybe it’s my desire to see him in the role of a not-as-sweet-as-he-seems homme fatale whose self-worth has become wrapped up in pleasing others with his looks. Maybe I just wanted to draw the characters in late 60’s/early 70s fashion (it’s probably that).
Featuring Vince as the beautiful witch, newly arrived in town after the mysterious death of his ex-husband (probably Bainbridge), Mrs. Gideon as his new landlady, whose husband (I’m thinking Fossil just because) becomes instantly entranced by her new tenant, eventually driven to obsession by Vince’s magic, and Howard as the police officer tasked with investigating a string of deaths in the city.
“All my life I’ve been tossed in the garbage except when men wanted to use my body. So, I decided to find my own power. And I found that power through witchcraft. That means that I take what I need from men and not the other way around.”
Thanksgiving doodles using ball point pen on printer paper because I forgot my sketchbook at my place part 4, featuring Tina Guo and me forgetting what humans look like.

The Nun’s Story doesn’t exactly look like my thing, but it’s definitely very pretty.
Grucifixes inspired by the works of thesavageroseart and raspberrymazohyst.
Trying to sketch a makeup-less young Papa Nihil that doesn’t look about twelve.
Just a Mama Emeritus design sketch that got out of hand.
I know plague doctor masks are super cliche, but I felt like messing around with character designs just for fun. The concept was inspired by this tiny Bloodborne cosplayer I saw wandering around reading an anime pamphlet at a con last month. The contrast was so perfect I’ve wanted to make a character like this for weeks now.
Nothing really solid’s been worked out yet beyond that. I had this vague idea that she really is a doctor, just not a medical one, and she just wears the mask for aesthetics. Alternatively, she’s some horrible abomination and that’s just what her face looks like. We’ll see.
My big bro @skyofscreens asked for more help designing a character for him. Unlike last time, this character has some more design specifics he wanted--brown chemical suit, saber, ponytail, pretty, so less time spent messing around and more time spent figuring out hairlines.
Papas I, II, and III.
(I couldn’t think of a good hand pun).
>Haven’t made any art in almost two months due to depression and other fun things
>First thing I do once I start feeling better is redraw an ancient Keanu Reeves meme.
>I just really like @kendrajk‘s actor!Papa headcanon okay.
Remember to feed and water your wee Ghoulings so that they can grow into fine young Ghouls.
Bonus:
A sketch when I was trying to figure out how to draw Imperator and a cut panel from that last comic I did. Still not convinced I’ve really gotten her likeness down, but I’m working on it.
Fun fact: the habit designs for the Sisters of Sin in this one were inspired by an outfit worn by Anna May Wong in Piccadilly.
