Here’s some scans from my sketch book!
I just finished this one. This is another commission for some original characters. I spent a lot of time on the background for this one because I knew if it was lack luster it would really be distractedly bad. At the end of the day I’m pretty happy with this.
This brightly colored dragon is probably my favorite, though when coloring it was a bit dreaded since it has a lot of floof to color. If you notice a lot of the dragons have different cultural influences (Water is a Chinese dragon, Light is a Karin or Japanese unicorn, ect.) This one is loosely based on the quetzalcoatl legends of South America. This is yet again another image for Mesalia.net
The Light or Aether dragon. This is once more for Mesalia.net and I love this dragon, second only to the green air dragon. Why? BECAUSE HE'S FLUFFY! look at that floof. It's wonderful. I was very happy I managed to get it both to look like a part of the dragon family I'd already established and a Japanese unicorn all at once.
Yet another dragon forMesalia.net. Despite the clearly different designs and inspiration for each dragon, I try to keep them similar enough to all have the same origins.
This is another dragon for Mesalia.net. This is one of my favorites as it is very different from the others. While most of the others have a bit of raptor in them this one has some other dino-influences that make him a special little guy.
A fire dragon! Look at him and his raptor toes. This too is for Mesalia.net
A dark energy or ‘Nether’ dragon for Mesalia.net.
This is another Christmas present I did! The original ink was sent framed and pretty like to the characters owner.
This is a Chrsitmas gift I gave this year. The original inks were gifted in a frame then I colored the scan.
This is a commission! The person who hired me was kind enough to let me take some liberties with the armor so I could put the guild symbol on the shoulders and carry that scroll work from the rest of the armor you can’t see to the shoulders.
This is a sketch I did for a beloved friend. I may go back and revisit it to flesh it out, but for the time being it remains a sketch.
This is me playing with some new photoshop brushes. I’m not thrilled with hot this came out but I’m satisfied.
This is my cat’s older sister Vinessa. I couldn’t help but draw this when I last went to visit.
Orvich's sketch all nice and finished. I really did this whole image because I wanted to see if I could color armor. As it turns out, I can.
