Bruce Jenner Interview
Just watched the two hour Bruce Jenner Interview with Diane Sawyer..I found this special to be very eye-opening and educational. Considering the passion and knowledge I have gained from my group project this semester-the issue of violence for Trans* people, and Transgender representation in the media, I applaud Bruce for his bravery. I think this special is one step closer to raising awareness and positive recognition of the community. Sawyer did a great job of providing evidence and additional stories of the hardship that transgenders are facing today, as well as educating people on the true meaning of identifying as transgender. This interview was huge, and I hope it gets the positive feedback and attention it deserves in order to bolster support and end violence for the transgender community.
Wish we could have one more class to discuss this amazing event in the media tonight!
