Suga, We're Going Down || Kyoongi
The words had seemed strange coming from Yoongi. Kyung hadn’t been accustomed to being called ‘attractive’ or any other form of the compliment, confusion clearly showcased on his face as he searched for a reply. But more perplexing than the compliment were the lips that it came from—Kyung’s closest friend and probably the most socially evolved of anyone that he knew. The two were on completely different levels and just seeing them together was odd to most.
Well that was strange and so was the fact that Kyung still couldn’t understand Yoongi’s sexuality. He wasn’t really gay, right?
"Don’t lie to me," the older male whined, cheeks hot with embarrassment as his eyes found their way to his own lap. It was hard to make eye contact with Yoongi while talking about such an uncomfortable subject—his own appearance. He didn’t spend too much time worrying about aesthetics and because of his lack of effort, he assumed his dating woes were directly connected to his lazy style or his skin imperfections. Regardless of the negatives, Kyung could still feel Yoongi’s eyes burning into him. "You’re way better looking than me, Min Yoongi. All of the girls notice you," he muttered, hardly audible over the bass that rippled through the both of them.
As soon as the younger’s eyes broke their gaze, the next drink came faster than Kyung had anticipated. He kept his mind off of the faux compliments and pushed his empty glass aside, letting himself indulge, childishly pushing the straw around in his mouth with his tongue between sips, riding the buzz that had his whole body loose. The alcohol was pushing him to a comfortable state—a state that might actually make flirtation possible with the pink-shirt girl from the cooking club. Either that or at least enough for him to lose the puppy dog eyes that kept falling on Yoongi, his subconscious taking in the other’s features while his brain turned into a jumbled mess in his skull.
"Are you trying to see me make a fool of m-myself?" Kyung asked, pushing the pads of his fingers into his glass while he watched the other. "I don’t think I’ll ever reach a point where I can go talk to any of the girls here."
Yoongi could easily tell that his friend was starting to get drunk and yet Yoongi was only barely starting to feel the buzz even though he had managed to already finish off his second drink. He called for another before smirking sideways at Kyung. The other was starting to get flustered by his comments. Was Kyung really so oblivious to his feelings? The thought somehow managed to wrench at his heart, yet he forced the smirk to stay on his face. He couldn’t give up now.
“Girls notice me, guys notice me. I could probably leave with several of the people here,” He shrugged, lazy eyes glancing around the room. He gestured to an incredibly attractive guy that had been making eyes at him since he had walked in. “He’s been looking at me since I walked in. Yet I’d rather be here with Hyung because he is much more attractive,” he shrugged, taking another drink of his alcohol.
Yoongi noticed the manager of the bar walking slowly in their direction, eyes trained on Yoongi. The younger male frowned in his direction, pretty much knowing what was about to happen. Without fail whenever Yoongi was at that bar, he ended up being asked to perform a song or two since he was apparently popular. While normally he didn’t care, he really just wanted to spend the time drinking with Kyung.
“Want to bet that I’m about to get asked to perform?” Yoongi asked, nudging his friend and gesturing to the manager as he walked close, not really realising as he put his hand on Yoongi’s thigh. Skinship seemed so natural with them that he didn’t think twice of it. Either way, he was trying to win Kyung over, so why not, right?
