A smile lit up Persephone’s face as she lowered her phone and closed it, hiding the video she’d been watching that one of the superstars had sent her. Working in a place such as that had given her a new appreciation for the spectacle that was professional wrestling, the athleticism required to do their job. Not hers, athleticism was gratefully unnecessary. “ You are not what you seem, ” she stated softly, approaching the intimidating male that seemed so callous when scripted. “ I apologize, but a few of your co-workers have been helping me to understand your side of the business. There was one video in particular that drew my attention. ”

Hades was getting dressed. “My love, you know that I have to go to this meeting.”

Hades stopped mid-action actually consedering her offer. “Fine….get dressed.”he said and finished getting ready.

Laughing triumphantly, Persephone leaped up off the bed and grabbed her discarded gown before tossing it aside and conjuring another. “ Would this not be more bearable with my company? ” she asked, brushing out her fiery locks and moving to stand at her husband’s side.

Hades was getting dressed. “My love, you know that I have to go to this meeting.”

“ I would rather you stay with me. Would you rather I accompany you and distract you in devious ways? ” she asked, a smirk playing over her lips as she shifted beneath the sheet, letting it bare more of her back as she laid on her stomach. “ I would rather not waste what time we have left. ”

“ Why a demon? ” she finally asked, pale fingers hovering above the smeared paint. Darkness and the misunderstood intrigued her. She’d dabbled in many careers before deciding on her current one, and even then she felt restless. But it gave her the opportunity to work with different businesses, her most recent being one she’d least expected. “ You increased your rank to king, your royal standing. But it is an intriguing choice, to go with something so dark and . . .I apologize, I have a fascination. . . ” she murmured shyly, ducking her head.

Break the Cycle

No compromise as I fight to break the cycle 

There must be something that she could do. Yes, she loved her mother, but she wanted a choice on when to see her. That sort of time with her shouldn’t be forced, it should be a willing visit because a girl missed her mother.

And bring an end (to this suffering) 

It was torture, forced to be without contact except what she could sneak behind her mother’s back. Persephone didn’t want to be without Hades, not because her mother would plunge the world into an eternal winter if she didn’t comply. He was her husband, her love, and the only god within the pantheon that understood her. Their being apart wasn’t fair to either of them.

I'm a shadow, a black out, a storm in the background 

Those ever-changing eyes were storm cloud gray as she strode into Zeus’s chambers on Olympus. “ You feared what my mother would unleash upon the world. Do you fear what I will unleash upon you, the world, and every soul should you not grant me what I wish? ” A cruel smile spread over her lips as she rested her hands on her hips, head tilting slightly as understanding dawned on his features. “ Shall we speak now? ”

The goddess was giddy as she nearly plowed into her husband, wrapping her arms around him from behind and squealing excitedly. “ I come bearing the best of news, my love, ” she murmured, bouncing slightly as her fingers tapped excitedly against his abdomen. “ I have learned well from your unfair reputation and used it to gain us what we’ve longed for more than anything else together. ” Her belief was that he would be as excited as she was, and she did hope to be correct in that regard. “ No more forced separation, no more stealing time together behind my mother’s back. ”

His request made her pause mid-motion. Licking ruby lips, she nodded and went for the feared god. Well, feared by all but her. A pale hand shifted crimson curls over her slender shoulder as Persephone walked over to him, standing before the brunet male. “ What would you ask of me? ”

A smirk replaced the gentle smile. Of course he knew when she held back. Driving her hips over his harder and faster, she let loose the moans and cries of her pleasure.

Muse Facts

Deep in the underbelly of Hades’ castle, there is a room. The door is always locked, to keep prying eyes out. Not many people know of this room, and those that do, have several theories as to what is inside. 

A secret dungeon. Hades’ kink room. This list goes on. 

What’s really inside this constantly locked room are Hades’ personal treasures. Among these treasures in the center of the room, nestled on a table is the first gift he ever received without the expectation of anything in return. The black iris that Persephone bestowed him during their first walk together is magically preserved under a bell jar, surrounded by a ring of blue flames.

Whether she had become his wife or not, the flower would receive the same honor, as it meant so much to the God of the Underworld.

The reason it is locked away, instead of on display, is because it is so precious to him. He does not trust anyone to see just how vulnerable he can be.
