Some more studies I have done from the past few weeks. I'm super proud of myself for being as consistent as I can be. I'm at the last few pages of my sketchbook, and I want to fill them up with more studies, but y'all I am TIRED of studying the asaro head. At the very least I am working on some other things when I'm not studying.
why’s everyone having sex now don’t we have steven universe to debate
A little insight into my painting process (ft. Malleus)
My sketches are relatively clean, so after I like what I’ve created, I just erase anything messy.
I don’t care too much about how clean the lineart is, since I can fix this later.
My base colors include shading on the important parts I want to focus on later. This way, I can tell if the painting is um.. harmonious?.. I guess?
I then go over everything with various brushes, but mostly a rough pencil. I use hatching to further define some of the forms.
I try not to do this too much everywhere, and make the colors chunkier on parts of the painting I’d rather the viewer focus on less.
These are the brushes I use the most (I use Krita), all are default except for the big flat brush.
That one is from the Size Flow Brushpack :)
Bonus: Malleus transparent png that cheers me on during my drawing time

As a creative you’ve gotta rewatch The Mitchells vs the Machines every once in a while to keep your soul pure.
Some of today's studies.
