thank you everyone who has sent such lovely asks recently about how much they love the ladybugs. i know everyone says this but it continuously shocks me that so many people enjoy my silly little drawings just as much as i do

i love your ladybugs so so much they are my lifeblood. in particular your paul design is so peak!! i can't help but wonder what she would look like during the different eras. would she have the bob the whole time or would she have different hairstyles? would love to see how you interpret the eras! please keep doing what u do!! it's amazing <3

thank you!!! i gotta say i am in love with the pauline bob, but i do see her in the 70s still going the mullet route (it's just too good not to). in general i see the girls' hairstyles changing a bit less than they did irl, just so they can have a bit more recognizability, but one thing i did fixate on was 70s georgia having extremely short almost buzzed hair to kinda contrast the super long hair+beard combo that george had for all things must pass

also late 70s joan looks incredibly similar to k.d. lang. obviously

When do The Ladybugs meet Yosuke Ono?

they dont meet him, but they do meet Yoko Ono. i'm gonna be honest with you i don't have it in me to genderbend her. in the Ladybugsverse™ she and Joan do meet around the same time they did irl, but a lot of the controversy and bad press around their relationship was (somehow) made even worse with the compounding aspects of their activism, interracial relationship, AND their sexuality which surprise surprise didn't go over well with 1960s-70s society

Hi! I love your ladybugs & beatles art so much!! I'm wondering if you consider the ladybugs to be your original concept, or if it'd be alright for other artists to make genderbend fanart of the beatles that way as well?

thank you so much!!! i by no means see myself as "owning" the ladybugs, i'm far from the first person to speculate what they would've been like if they were women so as far as i'm concerned everyone can do whatever they want forever. i do have more in depth lore for them (if that's what you want to call it) beyond just how they look, more of an alternate history type thing, but in terms of design alone, they are public domain as far as i'm concerned

i will say that if you wanted to draw my specific versions of them i would love to be tagged/mentioned just so i can see it!!!
