Careful, it’s hot. ❞ He offered her one of the mugs in hand and when she freed it from him, he soon seated himself down next to her, careful not to spill his own tea. ❝ Well, we can certainly still look at the stars from here, can’t we ? Besides, I didn’t want you to stand around in the cold so I thought it would be better for you to stay in my tent. Now we can stargaze all we want. Isn’t it romantic ? ❞

                       carefully, she takes the cup, holding it close to keep her warm.  when had she even become his ‘darling’ ?  eh, really... this was inigo.  she was sure he would call any girl in a ten mile radius his darling.  even though, she didn’t technically hate it... not that she would say that out loud. 

             “ yeah, how many giggling girls declined your romantic offer before you settled on the ice-queen? ”

   REGARDLESS of her protests, he couldn’t help but notice that she didn’t actually make the effort to force their hands apart and that itself was enough to make him grin like a fool. ❝ Alright, alright but I swear on my word ! ❞ With that, he let her go and offered her a widened smile. ❝ I’ll go ahead and prepare some tea for the both of us but you’re free to wait at my tent if you don’t feel like accompanying me. I’ll try not to keep you waiting, milady. ❞

                          when he arrived at his tent, she had already made herself comfortable -- well, as comfortable as she could be while being so on edge.  really, why did she even agree to this?  crossing her arms a bit, she looked away as he entered.   " took you a while. "  oh, right.  he was making tea.  clearing her throat, she continued her statement.  " anyways, you wished to look at the stars, didn't you?  so, pray tell why i am waiting inside your tent? "

                       her gaze keeps away from him, unable to meet his eyes.  the last thing she thought he would do was grab her hands.  despite the displeased look on her face, she didn't try to rip away from him.  " i don't know.  you're a man after all-  j-just know i'm keeping my eye on you!!!  oh uh-- sure. "

      THE mercenary’s eyes practically twinkled when she actually agreed – and by Naga, he couldn’t believe his ears ! To think that the lovely ice queen decided not to stomp off and smack off his attempts today. His heart was fluttering at the possibility that ladyluck was smiling down upon him this time around. 

      With a widened smile, he rested a closed palm against her open one and before she could even react, he intertwined their fingers together and tugged her closer. ❝ Surely you can’t be too busy to hold onto my hand for a bit, milady ! ❞ Honestly, he was ready to be pummeled in the face but being able to hold Severa’s hand, even for a moment, was a marvelous achievement !

                         the moment his hand met hers, her face heated up, turning a bright red.  the nerve of this guy!  and to think she fell for it!  is this what she got for trying to be nice for a moment?  her heart skipped a beat as he pulled her closer to him and her gaze refused to meet his.  they were holding hands and much too close for comfort... though, oddly enough she slightly ( only slightly ) didn't mind the closeness.  a moment of silence passed as she gathered her thoughts before she stepped back, yanking her hands out of his.

                          " w-what do you think you're doing?!  ugh!  i actually am too busy to stand around holding your hand!  why don't you go hold another girl's hand?  one who isn't busy. "

                               no matter what, he always managed to want to talk to her when she was trying to get something done.  still, she knew he was stubborn and wouldn't give up until she acknowledged him.  with a sigh, she held out her hand.
