[♫] — “Oh, Yuzukiiiii~! ♪ ” Max singsongs as he steps into Charde Jewelers during his friend’s lunch break, a box of cupcakes – strawberry cheesecake, from the local bakery – in hand. “Care to have a treat with me?”
It was amazing, that a friend from his youth had not only ended up moving to the archipelago, but was working in Leuda, as well! Max only ever saw Yuzuki whenever he accompanied his father to those stuffy high society functions when he was younger. But after a while, his mild mannered companion stop attending them, for whatever reason.
Max hadn’t seen much of him after that, at least not until he stepped into the jewelers one day, and saw his old friend manning the front desk. It had come as a surprise, to be sure, but an incredibly pleasant one. It was always such a wonderful feeling, to meet again with people you missed.
As he waits for Yuzuki’s response, a silly smile remains plastered to Max’s face, his cheery mood only further fueled by his reminiscent thoughts. It was truly a small world.
.: ☾ — It wasn’t too often that Yuzuki would be able to remeet friends from the past. The past where he attended the extravagant balls and odd shows of riches and power. He was forced to leave that behind per his parent’s orders. Though sometimes, they did carry him along to parties and such. However, it wasn’t too often.
So when Max reappeared in his life, still as carefree and cheerful as always, it was such a pleasant surprise. Though, he still didn’t tell him about the reasons of his disappearance, even now.
Yuzuki looked up when he heard the door chime in. It was his lunch break, so if Max were to step in right now... And right on cue, he heard his name being called out. He peered out of the back at his friend, seeing what he brought in today.
Cake. Oh, that Max. He knew what would be the best to eat today. With a warm smile to reflect Max’s own, he strolled out of the back and greeted his friend. “Of course. Why would I refuse a friend like you?”
