The first few months after Cuba were rough.
Charles was in a wheelchair and not adjusting well. No one was really sure if the government was coming after them. And Erik had actually killed someone (something Charles experienced firsthand as the murder victim), and no one was really sure how to react to that, either.
(Erik was unofficially voted “most likely to commit murder” as a joke when the group first started, but it was a lot less funny when it actually happened.)
There was a lot of talking to be done, and healing, but those first few months are not something anyone likes to talk about much.
