I’ve been here a while..
..but It’s time for me to leave.
Slowly I see tumblr dying before me, and it makes me sad to see it go.
I’ve not been terribly active these past few years, but I have been here, watching, waiting, hoping for my muse to return.
If he returns to me, it won’t be here.

I think..
that’s it’s high time I let this blog, and it’s side-blogs die.
I keep thinking maybe I’ll come back to them, I have so many ideas for the future of the characters, but that’s my problem, I have idea’s for their future, in my mind, the present has already happened, and I have no idea when or what happened.
It sucks, but I think it might be time for Kodi to hang up his helmet for the last time.

Deals with Ancient Creatures
“So, is that a fair enough deal for you?” The caged one asked, barely able to see his copy outside the bars.
Fair enough? If I were to agree I’d be losing time! The voice wasn’t heard through the ears, but rather in his mind, as it was with every conversation he had with this creature.
“No, if anything you’d be gaining it. We both know I’m not an exceptional warrior, my skills in alchemy is what got me this far in the scouts. You being in control when in dangerous situations, ie; the majority of missions I’m sent on outside this area, would prolong my life, therefore prolonging the time they have to send me on more missions, in essence giving you more time in control.”
Hmm. That’s true, and it would mean your troublesome scouts would stop hunting me, well, you. They think you’ve gone awol, I’m sure you knew that. He did, he’d known that since he first woke up in this cage. He’d have to come up with a damn good excuse for disappearing like that. He could only hope his kids were okay.
“Do we have a deal or not?” He was beginning to lose patience.
We have a deal if we make one small adjustment to your terms. If I see you trying to get rid of me in any way, mixing a potion, consulting ancient beings, anything, I’m taking over, and you’re disappearing. Forever.
“Fine, shake on it?” He extended his hand, and as the other him grasped it to seal the deal the cage fell away, Kodi found himself sitting on a stone in the middle of a river. He had no idea where he was.
Present Day; Location Unknown
He slowly opened his eyes, already knowing he wasn't where he'd fallen asleep. This place was wet, the very air was saturated, as was his fur. He stood, looking around, a cage, in a cave of some kind? He couldn't see very much past the walls of the cage he'd woke in, as if something in the center of it gave off a very dim light. From what he could tell he was strung up in the middle of a large chamber, no, not strung up, floating somehow, there was no rope, or anything connected to the cage, just a small platform he could barely see with.. eyes? He was being watched, something in the shadows of the platform before him, about his eye, eyes glowing red.
"Hello?" He called, confidencein his voice where one would expect fear in his situation. 'Hello.' His own voice echoed back, not from in front of him, but from his own mind. "Who's there?" He asked, a touch of panic setting in. 'Please don't be-' '-who I think you are.' The voice echoed his own thoughts as he thought them, it was him. 'Yes, it is. I've come back to have my turn.' "Your turn? For what?" Anger now, small amount of fear mixed in, his deal had come back to haunt him. 'My turn to be in this world. You made a deal, your body for a year, in exchange for revenge. I upheld my end, now it's your to uphold yours.' The eyes come forward, Kodi himself stepping into the ghost-light of the cage. 'And to spend a year in my hell.' The darkened Kodi turned and disappeared before the real thing could say a word. He wasn't just in a cage, suspended in mid air in a pitch dark cavern, he was stuck in the darkened part of his own soul, the part he'd darkened himself to get revenge.
2 years ago; Bandle City
The boy was begging in the street, not much younger than Kodi himself, but clearly much worse off. His fur was disheveled, his clothing, what had once been very nice now in shreds, hanging from a form that was fit them but now was smaller than it should be. "What happened?" Was Kodi's simple question, squatting down in front of the other to be at eye level with the slightly younger yordle sitting against the wall a few shops down from his own. Just as the other got ready to answer an old woman came out with a broom, ready to chase off the beggar when she saw Kodi, in uniform, talking to him. "Good, finally someone's doing something about him. He's been here every day for the past month, he's driving business away!" She complained, making shooing motions at the forlorn yordle. The boys only response was to get up, with the few coins he'd managed to collect, and start walking away. "Hey, wait up." Kodi glared at the old woman, before chasing after the other. "Everyone's got a story, what's yours?" He asked, before thinking it over, "Actually, don't tell me, I have a better idea. Take this," He began, handing the other enough money to get him through til morning. "get some new clothes, a hot meal, a bed to sleep in tonight. Meet me at this shop tomorrow morning." With that he walked into his potion shop, leaving the other speechless staring after him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The next morning. "Hel..Hello?" He called, opening the door to the sound of a bell ringing above him. "I.. I came.. Like you asked?" Kodi, now wearing a spattered apron over regular clothing instead of his uniform steps out of the back room with a grin. "You look nice. So, ever worked in a shop before?" "Umm.. yes?" Came the nervous answer as the boy looked around at the potions on display. "Why did you want me to come here? And.. and why did you give me so much?" "Consider it an advance. See, I've been running myself ragged trying to take care of my kids, run this shop, and still keep up with my duties as a scout. I need some help." He started, leaning on the counter the contained the register. "There's been a help wanted sign in the window for weeks, and nobody has come knocking. That's when I found you. I need help, you need money, and a place to live. I can provide both." "What..? Why? Why me? Why now?" He asked, disbelief evident in his voice as he stared at the shop owner, father, and scout. "Why you? Because we can help eachother. Why now? Because I didn't see you until yesterday. What's your name?" He finally asked, though he looked somehow familiar. "My..name? It's.. Tel P-.. Just Tel. I don't have a last name anymore." He'd hesitated, his loss of a last name evidently part of the story he wasn't ready to share. "What.. would I have to do?" "It's nice to meet you Tel. My name is Kodi." He paused for a second before continueing. "As for what you'd have to do, I want you to run the shop. For now, until you're ready, it'll be both of us here. I'll have you take care of customers, and between them I'll show you how to mix the potions we sell." "So.. you want me to become your apprentice?" "If you're interested, there's also an apartment on the second floor, it's not furnished yet, but that's fixable, you're welcome to live in it as well." The offer was getting better and better, how could anyone pass it up. "What about rent? You'd be my boss and my landlord, would you just take rent from what you're paying me to work here?" Good question, one Kodi hadn't actually thought about. "Keep it clean, and fix, or get fixed, anything you break. That's your rent. Your pay is all yours, food, clothes, whatever you need or want." "I.. I can't refuse this offer.. I never imagined myself working at a potion shop but.. thank you.." He'd begun to cry, prompting Kodi to walk over and hug him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A year has passed, Tel is now an integral part of Kodi's shop, and family. While Kodi is away on business, the kids stay at the apartment, which has since been fully furnished and toddler-proofed. The undernourished boy Kodi met just down the road was gone, replaced by a lively, healthy man who got along superbly with all the customer's he'd met so far.
Teemo knocked on the door and waited for it to open. "Hello, Kodi?" He asked the other if that was indeed him. "Hi, Im here to give you your Psychiatric evaluation. I did a little research on you and, I'm surprised that you wernt put higher on the treatment list. You have many people who think highly of you, but on the other matter... I'm sorry for your loss." He said as he held the Clipboard close to him. "If this is too much to handle I can come back another time."
(Me replying to this is really late, as Kodi is starting to ‘get better’ it’s not something he’ll ever be ‘over’ completely but he has gotten back to work in his potion shop and his kids are back with him. For the purpose of this rp however it will be treated as if it’s only been a week or two from what happened.[basically I’m saying this rp will be a retcon rp since things have changed since the ask was sent])
It took a moment for Kodi to come to the door, he knew that voice, and the moment he saw the Scout captain his anger at the other man bubbled over and he couldn’t help but take a swing at him. Regardless of if he hit or not he started yelling at his Commanding Officer. “You’re gone, for over a year! Leaving Tristana pregnant with you’re son! Now she’s gone too and there’s nothing saying where! And this is how you come back!?” After a moment Kodi stopped yelling and glanced away slightly. “You..have no idea what I’m talking about..do you..?”

Reading his case file he was prepared for any violent outburst. But he didn’t expect the swing at him. He got punched in the nose. He sneezed. “No I…I. ACHOO! I don’t know what your talking about.” He rubbed his nose and winced. “Tristana? She moved to go live with her partner, and last time I checked which was yesterday, I don’t have a kid… Look.. Just, take a deep breath and calm down a bit and explain to me what is going on.”
With a groan Kodi turned and walked back into his house, bypassing the living room and heading for the kitchen where the clink of glasses could be heard. “You might as well come in, it’s what you’re here for.” He growled, getting two glasses of water, one for him, and the other for Teemo. Might as well show some civility at least.
Walking through Teemo would see all the doors in the house were shut, along with all the curtains, letting in no natural light, or letting him get a peak at the condition of anywhere else in Kodi’s house. The living room was relatively clean, though the table in front of the sofa was littered with empty and half-empty glasses, and tissues. A yordle sized sword was buried hilt-deep in the wall dividing the kitchen and living room, the blade sticking out into the kitchen.
“Water?” He’d offer, pointing at a glass near to where Teemo would enter the kitchen. “Ask your questions and get out.” He added, taking a seat on a stool at a center island. The kitchen was near-spotless, save for the center island at which Kodi sat, littered with empty bottles of all shapes and sizes, looking them over it wasn’t hard to see Kodi was trying to drink his pain away.

Cyrus rumbled and nodded. “No big deal. I had them made quickly because it felt more like a business to me if I had a business card.” He placed his ingredients in a small basket and gathered his other things. “Yup, about that time. I’m in Ionia for the rest of the night, and I head back to Bandle tomorrow morning. What’s your plan?”
"Depends on if I can find a way back before morning. I try not to stay away from Bandle for long, otherwise my kids'll end up seeing more of their uncle than me." He smiled a bit and stuck out his paw to shake. "It was nice meeting you Cyrus, I'm sure we will again."

Cyrus flashed a genuine warm smile, grabbing the ingredients he needed. “No worries, Kodi. I try to be nice to people, especially when they’re nice to me back.” He rummaged in his pocket a bit and grabbed a business card. “Here’s the address to my store. I live in a small apartment up above. Feel free to stop by any time.”
He took the card with a smile and slipped it into one of his own pockets after giving it a glance. "I'd..give you a business card but, I don't have one of my own. But, once I get some made, I'll be sure to drop one off for ya, alright?" He glanced around at the ingredients in the shop before looking back at Cyrus. "It looks like you're ready to go, so, I'll see you later?" The last part was a question, not a statement.

Cyrus grinned. A business partner would be nice, and Kodi seemed genuine enough. “Sure thing. I’ll see about sharing ingredients too — if I’ve got something in surplus you need, I’d gladly send it over for ya.” He cracked a smile even wider and stuck out a paw. “So, what do you say?”
He shook the other's paw again, sealing the deal. "I think this sounds like the beginning of a great partnership." He answered, the smile finally winning over and spreading across his face. "Thanks, by the way." He didn't much want to answer the coming question of 'for what?' but he knew it was coming, so he answered in advance. "For being a friend to someone you just met. I really needed it."

Cyrus blinked and furrowed his brows. “Oh, gods. I’m sorry for your loss.” He placed a hand on the other yordle’s shoulder. “That’s terrible… I’ve never really had a mate, but I know how you feel. Stop by the shop if you ever need anything.” He smiled, genuinely.
A small appreciative smile played at the corner of Kodi's lips as he nodded slightly. "I appreciate your words, Cyrus. You stop by mine if you ever need anything too. Might take a bit, but I take special orders too." He thought about it for a moment. "Come to think of it. If a customer asks for something I don't have or don't know how to make, how 'bout I send 'em your way, if you'll do the same?"

Cyrus nodded and smiled. “I know how that is. Running a bit low on a few things myself. I come here for ingredients because I learned the craft here. Nice to go offa what you know, eh?” As the other yordle sighed and broke the handshake, he noticed the sadness. “Something the matter? Or is it not my place?”
He shook his head slightly. "I lost my mate recently." He answered simply, he didn't need the details. "I only return to work out of necessity to be honest. My kids need their father now more than ever. So I can't let myself fall apart completely.."

Cyrus blinked a bit. “Hey, small world. Me too. Let me guess — you’re here for ingredients too?” He kept a friendly tone, even though he was talking to his competition. “Name’s Cyrus. Pleasure to meet you, Kodi.” The grey yordle stuck a paw out for the other to shake.
He nodded, extending his own paw to shake the other's. "Yeah.. I usually get my own ingredients, but, someone asked for something special. Somethin' that requires ingredients not found near Bandle City, or in my own garden." He sighed softly letting go of the other's paw. "Sorry..I'm not much for conversation at the moment."

Cyrus was used to being jostled while in Ionia. Humans often weren’t looking down when they walked, and it was quite common for him to not be seen and bumped into when he was out and about. He looked up and almost apologized before he realized it wasn’t a human, it was another yordle. “Oh! No worries. Happens all the time.” he chuckled, turning to face the smaller yordle. “You from around here? Don’t see many yordles here in the city.”
He shook his head, keeping his eyes averted from the other's gaze. "No, I live in Bandle City. I run a potion shop there, usually I get my own stuff, but.." He sighs, not really wanting to get into his whole story. "I'm Kodi..by the way. Er..PFC Kodi..actually. I'm with the scouts.."

It had been two weeks, and though he was still on psychiatric leave from the scouts, he had to start getting back on his feet. His kids needed him, and while that meant spending time with them, that also meant getting back to work in his shop. To do that though, he needed some ingredients, and while normally he'd get them himself, while his shop was closed some mail was delivered requesting a special potion, one he needed ingredients from Ionia for. While looking through the selection at a shop, he bumped into a taller yordle who was also grabbing things from the store. "Sorry.." He mumbled, it wasn't cheerful, or even truly apologetic, it was more depressed than anything. He was here out of necessity, not want right now.
