HE WAS SO ON EDGE, not even he truly knew why. woken up wrong, was the only excuse he could give - having woken up to his nightlight with a burnt out bulb had thrown him off the rest of the day. moon liked to make jokes, everyone who was around him knew that, sundrop more than anyone. no matter how many times the two of them went through the exact same thing, he never failed to give a good reaction when someone jumped out in front of him. a loud scream, jumping away & then getting all mad at him afterwards. it was their usual. today ... it just wasn't a good day.

he would never intentionally hit moon, that much should have been painfully obvious. it took him a second to process what he had even done, hearing his hand collide with his face. honestly, it probably stung his skin more than it did the other's - he didn't really swing hard. realizng what he had done hurt more than anything else. it hadn't even been a prank on his end for once, moon was just quiet - his only crime was being too close to him at the wrong time. hearing his taunt was something of a relief, but he still clearly feels bad, reaching to take moons face in his hands, much more gentle this time. ❛ i am SO sorry. ❜ he looked like he was about to cry - as if he had just been the one who had been smacked. the only relief was knowing he probably didn't hurt him too badly. scared or not, he wouldn't swing hard. there were children around, though he had forgotten about them entirely for the moment.

THERE WAS RARELY A TIME WHERE SUNNY DIDN'T HAVE THE ENERGY, it was something that most people would have deemed to be exhausting. but to moon it was something that he found endearing about the other. something that made them entirely different from one another. he would definitely need the energy for being with the children, since they usually were able to match him. even if the outfits would end up ruined by the end of the shift, it was all about putting up appearances for when the parents arrived. he needed to look sharp and clean, just as their characters suggested. by the end of the day he would be covered in stickers & glue, but that was a problem for later on. ❝ yes, just - don't tie it too tightly now, it's not meant to be a choker. ❞ tilting his chin up for the other to have easier access, he waited for him to measure up the perfect amount - but he doubted that sundrop would do it so perfectly. the other would likely just tie it haphazardly around his neck. handing him a matching red cord, he waited patiently for him to tie it around the same way he had - with a bow meant for his moon - shaped clasp to hold in place.

IT WOULD NOT END UP LOOKING AT ALL HOW MOON WANTED IT TO, that much was for certain. sundrop had not even looked in the mirror to see what it looked like on him, he didn't feel the need to. if moon thought it looked good on him, that was enough for him to trust. he wouldn't let him go around looking like an idiot - he was far too serious about their job. it paid well, for how much sundrop could hate it at times. nodding at his words, it was clear he was not actually listening to him at all, only focused on the task at hand. he ties it just a little bit too tightly, but not enough to strangle him. the bow is not nearly as neat as it should have been, but he fastens it with the clip anyway, barely doing much to fix it - it was as neatly as he could do it regardless. he was far too excited to get to participate, as if he really expected moon to tell him no - he never got no's from him. ❛ where did you come up with this idea? ❜ their outfits were the same at times, others they were not - the kids always liked something fresh, even if sundrop didn't think that they even noticed at all. his clothing always ended up ruined by the end of a shift regardless, covered in paint and glue. ❛ it looks good, RIGHT? i did a good job? ❜ he didn't, but that didn't change his desire to hear it regardless.

HIS IMPATIENCE WASN'T ANYTHING SURPRISING, not to moon. it was lucky if he could get the other to sit still for ten minutes before their shifts. in the morning he was even worse, as if his sleep had given him another push of energy. getting him all fixed up for the day to start was a task, one that moondrop didn't mind taking into his own hands. their costumes for the job was a big part of their employment. fazbear entertainment was both parts babysitting as it was making sure they were playing the role of a character. ❝ there won't be any time later, the kids will be arriving soon. now - let me finish up. ❞ perfecting the bow in shape, it wasn't until he was satisfied with it's appearance that he let sunny go. ❝ of course, are you going to be able to do it correctly. if not, i'll grab a mirror and do it myself. ❞ he's not opposed to the notion of accepting sundrop's assistance with his appearance, but if it turns out like any of his other projects - then he knows that he will be redoing it after the fact.

HE WAS ALWAYS MORE HYPER BEFORE THE START OF A SHIFT, though he really should have been saving his energy, knowing how the job could suck it out of him. it was hard not to act that way, being around moondrop - his favorite person. the only one who could really put up with the way he acted, though sundrop never went out of his way to restrain his energy for people. he'd have to hold his hands down in order to stop him from messing with the bow he had only just tied - it wasn't as if it were going to last, not when sundrop often had children crawling all over him. ❛ REALLY? you'll let me? give me, give it to me - ❜ there was no answer to the question of whether or not he would be able to do it properly, he probably would not - but that didn't change that he still wanted to try. moon would likely have to fix it, but neither of them really minded that fact. it was too late to change & tell him no, now, either - he's already leaning in closer, ready to do it the second the ribbon was handed to him.

HOLDING HIM STILL FOR HIS MEASUREMENTS,    he grit his teeth when the other continued to squirm.    ❝   if you don’t hold still,   i  most certainly  will slit your throat  —  and it will be on  accident.    now,    STAY STILL.  ❞   pulling the measuring tape tight around his next for a moment,    he marks the spot with his thumb before pulling it away.    he works well with a needle,   talented in making  outfits  from scratch.  the both of them made all of their own clothing  —  whether it was by hand or minor adjustments.   they would do this often together;  adding little  sun & moon  aesthetics to their clothing for work.   ❝   no moving  —  ❞  pulling a red cord around his neck,   he ties it with an artful  bow;   closing it with a sun - shaped clasp.

❛ can't we do this later? ❜ it was a bit early for him to just be sitting around, as if this wasn't something moon made him sit through often. he was the better one when it came to this stuff, all of sun's work was poor & sloppy, it was more than clear he had little patience for something like sewing. when he's told to sit still, he makes a face, displeased by the idea - but the measuring tape wrapped around his neck was enough to make him do so. he really didn't like getting hurt all that much. no moving, again, he was told, but he doesn't listen, reaching up to flick at the end of the bow. ❛ does it look good? OOH - are you going to have a matching one? can i do it? ❜ it would be an awful thing to agree to, they both knew that - but it wouldn't stop him from asking, just off the chance that it would be agreed to.

OF COURSE IT WAS AN EXAGGERATION AT IT’S FINEST.    he was ranting with no signs of stopping,  keeping his words  safe  incase of any children lingering behind.  he was so accustomed to watching his tone around so many little ones that curses were practically void from his vocabulary.   the parents that came to their daycare had a hard time  connecting  with someone that was so dreary on the outside.   his general appearance was much darker than that of his counterpart.    he didn’t  look  the part to be hanging around children all day  —   but once someone saw him in action they were quick to change their minds.  this was where he belonged.    returning children to their parents should have been an easy task,   giving them the rundown of how the day had gone.   but when it came out in his voice,    they never seemed content with anything that he had to say.   looking at sunny’s smiling face,   he scrunched up his nose in response.   ❝   no thanks,    gunna have to pass on that one.  ❞  whenever he tried to mimic the cheery expression that sundrop managed,   it always came out  unsettling.   creepy  —   to say the least about it.    his resting face was difficult to read,  a mixture of apathetic  &  mischievous.   whenever moondrop had something to smile about,    nothing good could come of it.  usually,  meaning that he had something snarky to say,   or he just witnessed something that would be  funny  only to himself.    ❝    easy  for you to say,    no one ever asks for your replacement.    they look at me like i’m  unfit  to be here.   ❞

he’d never been considered someone that needed to be let go of by their management.   they knew far too well that if anyone could calm a child down,   it was him.   it was just  frustrating  that the families didn’t see the same in him.

𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒𝐍'𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐘𝐏𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐒𝐎 𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋, but sunny could understand why - sort of. he definitely didn't receive the same treatment that the other did, he was the more accepted out of the two, at least by parents. some of the children had PLENTY to complain about sundrop, he was not really as child - friendly as he could always seem. he grew tired of his job, he was not meant to be some babysitter, as he always said - but he had to give up the theater. this was the closest he could get to making money off of that around here - but doing a bunch of silly tricks for some children was not really what he had in mind. getting to work with moondrop was enough to make him happy, but had he been getting the same treatment from the parents - he likely would have lost his temper a lot sooner. pulling his headband from his head, his hair is a bit of a mess, not having much chance to fix himself throughout the day. feeling good going into work and feeling awful leaving was about the USUAL for him. ❛ honestly, though, you know it's all B - S. you're good at your job, the kids like you, you get paid. who cares about their parents? ❜ were they the ones paying the pretty expensive daycare fee? of course. it didn't make them matter any more to him. ❛ they're not here watching you care for the kids. you like, LOOK a little sad, but it doesn't mean you are. ❜ he wasn't doing the best job at helping, but moondrop should have been incredibly used to it at that point - when the day was over, sundrop tended to lose whatever filter he had. he already struggled to hold it throughout the day, which tended to be when his partner would step in. ❛ stop being silly. we could take some fizzyfaz home if that would make you feel better. ❜

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐓? that was a little debatable, but the assumption was a little too easy to make. moondrop didn't exactly present himself in a very friendly way - his resting face was not the nicest, especially when their job was to work with children. the last thing sundrop had been expecting while they closed up for the night was this kind of rant from him. apparently, the treatment was getting to him a little bit more than usual. parents normally gave him odd looks, requesting the other attendant - even when they came during down time, when the less sunny of the two was not even supposed to be in charge. he had always assumed it was not something that he really let bother him - apparently, that was WRONG. ❛ well - all you can really do is ignore them, i guess. ❜ finished stacking the blocks on his side, he turns around to face the one currently having his mini - tantrum & puts a hand on his hip. ❛ or, you know. you could be more like me. ❜ pointing at his face, he gives a big smile - teasing him, though now was not really the time to do so. the children were not so wary of him, some even tended to prefer moondrop out of the two of them - it was merely an adult problem, quick to question his ability to care for their children because of the way he looked. ❛ seriously, though. it's not your job to please them. nothing to YELL over. ❜

WHAT MIGHT NOT HAVE SEEMED LIKE A BAD IDEA ON THE SURFACE, it was truly not something that he was to be trusted with. they were similar in many ways, but interests were not one of those. had he handed off a bed - time story to be read, then moondrop would have shown a much more calm side of him than being handed arts & crafts supplies. ripping the plate into fourths had certainly alleviated some of his rage — but there was nothing more to it than that. he wasn't cautious enough with his hands to do the same tasks that sundrop preferred to partake in. watching the other draw a FROWNY FACE on his paper pal, it was a true expression of his feelings — even if his voice still had a happy - go - lucky tone about it. ❝ paint by numbers? ❞ he asks begrudgingly, not sounding excited in the slightest for his next task to bomb. if these were meant to do anything but infuriate him, he was at a loss. they were each so tedious & required creative talent. he did not possess the same love for creativity that his counterpart did. not when it came to creating them for his own. picking up the googly eyes from the desk in front of him, he held them up in front of sundrop's eyes - envisioning them being affixed there. ❝ what good are these? ❞

𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐅𝐀𝐑 𝐓𝐎𝐎 𝐌𝐔𝐂𝐇 𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀 𝐁𝐄𝐃𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘, his interests required the high - energy personality that he had. moon was quite the opposite. he didn't CARE to have the energy to do the things sundrop did. clearly, he was too much of an angry person for a little bit of drawing to help him out. the bitter way he repeated his second idea back to him was enough to tell him it was again, not a good idea. it would be smart to avoid more broken art supplies. a paper plate was one thing, brushes & anything else would be a bigger problem. leaning to the side, trying to divert his attention from holding the googly eyes over his face. very rare for sundrop, he's quiet - thinking, instead of just suggesting something he'd use to calm down the children. ❛ or! OR! ❜ he seems a bit more excited than usual now, getting up from his cross - legged position on the ground & flipping over, now standing on his hands. at first, it seems like he's just trying to be entertaining, his weird tricks a large part of his personality, before he presents his actual idea. ❛ we could go over some scripts! act them out together? how does that sound? ooh, i'm SO excited! ❜ he says it like a question, but the way he acts suggests he's already made up his mind about it - it had been so long since he'd tried it & moondrop knew how strong his passion for the theater was, something he couldn't truly express anymore.

a very important note for our portrayal of sundrop & moondrop is that they're entirely different people. they are not related as animatronics or in their human verse, they're just working together. in our human verse, we do have a ship for them & i've realized some people could be uncomfortable with that, so i felt like it would be a good idea to clarify.
