Zamurad, as someone who doesn’t quite know everything about the human world, is really into exploring. At first he was excited with everything concerning humans but nowadays he is more interested in the nature.

He can go for long walks and travels, just to see the changes of landscape. He likes animals and plants more than he likes wizards by now, so It’s always nice to him to meet with new species and just relax with everything nature can give him. He used to enjoy swimming… But after being incarcerated in the cave, he doesn’t any more.

Other than travelling and exploring, he is actually very smart and likes logical challenges. So games like chess - wizard or not - is something he enjoys very much. Any game that requires strategy can distract him for a long time.

He also enjoys reading, even though he doesn’t read with as much frequency as when he still lived with Salazar. He actually doesn’t read well - he reads slowly and sometimes he has to read more than once so the phrase makes sense. Still, he recognizes the importance of reading and that’s why he keep trying, despite not being fully literate.

                                  SOULMATE MATCHUP

               There are TONS of soulmate prompts out there but I very rarely see threads involving them. I thought that perhaps randomly assigning people to one another will bring more plots to the table, friendships, and interactions. Because of the sheer amount of soulmate ideas that are out there, we will leave it up to you and your partner to decide exactly how you want to make it. Remember that soulmates can be romantic, sexual, platonic, familial, enemies, or whatever else you can think of! There are so many possibilities that it is nearly endless.

hc + sleep

As an object, Zamurad doesn’t really need sleep. Not in the typical sense of the word. When he is too tired, he usually just goes back to his original form. But there were times in which he fell asleep in his human form - this happened mostly during founder era, since he stayed in human form for longer with Salazar.

But after becoming an horcrux, he was wore out much more easily, which made him drift to sleep without even realizing sometimes. 

If he used to have good dreams when he slept before, now it was completely the opposite. It seemed like Voldemort’s piece of soul liked to torture him when that happened. Images of people he knew and liked appeared on his mind, and he was forced to re watch his worse memories. Even his good memories were distorted, taking a turn for the worst. Scenes of him hurting people, people he loved and that were innocent plagued his mind. He always woke up feeling worse than before and disoriented. He couldn’t tell what was reality and what wasn’t for a while.

Because of that, it’s not surprising that even after getting free from Voldemort, Zamurad avoided sleeping and tried to keep himself awake at all costs.

Headcanon

As someone who have lived more than a millennium, Zamurad went through various phases, that reflected on his way of speaking as well.

During his time with Salazar and some of the generations that followed, Zamurad had a bright and curious personality. He wanted to learn everything he could, explore all the places he went and was constantly asking questions to whomever was around. He spoke with longer phrases, tending to ramble about simple things just because they seemed so important and interesting to him. He was very talkative and sometimes it was hard to make him stop talking. Still, he was always respectful, specially to the founders and knew when to keep quiet around them.

As the years passed, however, he became more and more disappointed with humans. Things weren't as new and interesting any more. He didn't find the wizards as interesting and brilliant as the ones he knew.

Those things changed his personality; He judged himself to be more clever and generally more experienced than most people. He soon became very patronizing with whichever human he came in contact with. He didn't even find it much interesting to speak with them, preferring to explore the nature than wasting time with humans. That also made his vocabulary less expansive, for lack of using. Too tired to explain things that for him was obvious to others, his phrases became quick and short, straight to the point, without many details. Even his speech pattern changed because of the disuse, making him sound weirder now than when he was still younger. He uses odd constructed short phrases, unless when he forgets a word, using then a long phrase to describe what he wants. His speech pattern could be described as "can't be bothered" in that phase.

As an horcrux, he barely wanted to get in contact with people, knowing it might be dangerous. His phrases got even shorter or monosyllabic, if he could help. Still, Voldemort’s piece of soul was very talkative. And never had a nice thing to say. His words didn’t sound like his own, and were always aiming to psychologically hurt people.

After getting rid of Voldemort’s influence and almost dying, Zamurad lost some of his patronizing way. He was more expansive, but still a little defensive and tired. His speech pattern is still direct, but he indulge in long conversations now and then, happy that he can’t harm anyone any more.
