husb and i were watching old fan convention footage a little while back (it's fun), and got a sudden delightful surprise in an SDCC vid from 1990

i wonder where they are now.......

the craziest thing about this is how good they look—cosplay tech in 1990 was NOT where it is now, so this is really, really impressive

universal studios couldn't even get their park face character wolverine to look good for YEARS and this guy at a con did it perfectly

for reference these pics are the "official" theme park costumes for wolverine and sabretooth, at universal studios, from 1993, which aren't the worst thing ever but they're definitely not as good as the cosplay:

so idk what kind of magic sauce the SDCC guys were using but those costumes are REALLY good for the time
