————-      He was just sitting behind the Mystery Shack as he was waiting for Dipper to give him… well something. He didn’t get much of any warning, but that was fine. Tossing a rock up and down with the telekinetic hand, it suddenly vanished as he jumped, hearing a voice come out from behind him. Sure, he was a Psychonaut now. He shouldn’t HAVE to worry about hiding his powers, but it wasn’t something he just wanted to use all the time. People, after all, still were people. Him being a psychonaut doesn’t change that. 

                       Turning his head slowly and seeing her, he gave a smile and laughed. It was just a girl his age- thank god.

                        ❝  No, it’s not an amulet of any kind. And yeah, no I’m a good guy. My name is Razputin, but you can call me Raz. And if you’re Mabel, you’re Dipper’s sister, right? It’s nice to meet you! He’s told me a little about you.  ❞

             Mabel’s  eyes  were  wide  with  wonder  at  Raz.  He  knew  her?  Ah,  he  was  a  friend  of  Dipper’s.  She  wondered  why  he  hadn’t  told  her  anything  about  this  guy?  Especially  if  he  had  some  sort  of  superpowers.  Still,  it  was  fine.  “Well, I hope it was all good things! Eh, who am I kidding, of course it was, I’m the best sister ever.”  She  firmly  believed  that.

Hi, I’m Mabel!”  So  she  was  overexcited!  The  strange  boy’s  telekinesis  didn’t  even  throw  her,  she’d  seen  so  much  weirder  in  her  time.

             “Alright, kid, you have about thirty seconds to tell me who you are before I bring out my knives.” 

            “And you tell no one-- I mean NO ONE that you saw me wearing my glasses, got it?”   Despite  the  threatening  words,  her  tone  was  sickly  sweet.  The  kid  that  showed  up  in  the  stage  area  for  the  tent  of  telepathy  had  taken  her  by  complete  surprise  --  which  was  rare  for  Mabel.  Still,  the  goggled  child  probably  didn’t  mean  any  harm.  She  didn’t  feel  like  this  was  a  hostile  situation.  Not  yet  anyway.

                        This  routine  was  getting  old.  Bill  clearly  didn’t  like  her,  and  she  knew  it  all  too  well.  However,  that  wasn’t  going  to  stop  her  from  being  friendly  with  him (even  if  this  friendliness  was  fake  and  they  both  knew  it  now).  So  her  narrowed  eyes  softened  and  she  smiled.  

                     “And how are you today, Bill?”

               “I win again!”  Mabel  was  probably  too  excited  about  this,  but  it  was  always  fun  to  beat  Dipper  in  video  games.  It  was  the  little  victories,  really.  “Do you wanna play again? I bet you’ll win this time! C’mon! Pleeeaaaaseeee?”

                 “I declare today to be everybody get along day!”  Mabel  looked  at  Tyrone,  her  smile  wide  and  full  of  encouragement.  Things  were  getting  tense  and  Mabel  was  here  to  fix  things!  If  by  fixing  things  she  meant  trying  to  shove  them  out  of  existence  by  forcing  in  her  extreme  optimism  toward  literally  every  situation  ever.  “Are you ready for a day full of super awesome fun times? And no, you don’t have a choice, you’re spending time with me today. It’ll be fun!”
