Same PSD from the last tutorial (with a new preview). I've edited a few layers and added B&W option. Cointains a Gradient Fill; Adjust Saturation and Selective Color in case it gets too red.
Hey you guys! As requested, here's a very detailed tutorial of how to make a good psd (effects) for your own editions and stuff.
There are a lot of PSD types but today I’m going to teach you how to make a simple one and how to use a few tools;Â
step 1:
Well, first of all, let's make a new document by going on File > New. I'm going to use 245x375px for its sizes. You can use whatever you’d like, but be careful or tumblr will take all the quality away from your psd preview, and that's not what we want.Â
Choose the pic you want to work on. (A hq one or something similar to that). Open it, copy and paste into your new document.Â
I'm going to use this {x} one.
Press CTRL+T to resize it. But don't forget to press SHIFT while doing it so it wont look all messed up.

Apply a smart sharpen action; so far we have one action posted which you can find looking through our nav, but I also recommend this one {x}.Â
Now let's create our new PSD.

Here are a few important adjustment layers we're going to use:

Let's play with the layers and have fun!!
Gradient Map: Here's my favorite part! You can use different Gradients Map to give so many different effects to your psds; I like to play with it a lot! Today I'm using a regular B&W gradient that comes in all photoshops. Set it to Soft Light, and adjust Opacity if needed. [print: x]Â
Brightness: If your pic is too bright, use it to make it a bit more dark; or the other way around. [print:x]
Curves: I like to try using the "auto" option. But that's up to you. Play with the line by moving it up and down but be careful with that. [print: x]
Levels: use it to play with the brightness and darkness of your pic. [print: x]
Vibrance: it gives saturation to your edit but in a moderated way; move it to the right. Or left if you want it more “pale”.
Hue/Saturation: I like to use it to give more saturation to a specific color; In this case I played with the cyans and blues. Edit it to your liking!
Selective Color: It highlights or makes darker a few colors; Use it carefully. I worked with the red, yellow, blue, and cyan. It depends on the colors of your pic. Take a look at it and see what would look great being highlighted or not.
Color Balance: If your pic is a bit more blue, or magenta, or green, use it to make a balance between the colors. [print: x]
You can also play with others layers such as Solid Color; Exposure; Photo Filter; Black and White; and others.
This is how my psd looks so far:
Now to give it a different look, I used this {x} Gradient Fill. Set it to Lighten mode; Adjusted opacity and erased the parts I wanted from my pic:

step 5:
Now let’s save your psd!
Click on this icon to make your psd folder. Now select all your layers and move into your folder. Rename by clicking twice on it.
Press Shift+CTRL+S; name it whatever you want, and select Photoshop (*PSD;*PDD) format.
AND WE’RE DONE!!!!

Dear God psd. Contains 2 psds and 1 optional. One for colored frames, that works fine with all the scenes. The other one is just for b&w scenes; and also a few optional layers that works on some of the stage/live scenes combined with the colored one. It might work on other music videos as well but I didn't tested it.
oh, i mean, when i put an action, if i don't like how it looks, i can't go back (ctrl+z) and delete the effect. do you know why?

You can always press “F12”, that will revert all the process done to your edit.  Or if you just want to delete some of the prev steps, keep pressing Shift+Ctrl+Z til you like the way it looks. (It will undo step by step).
Orrrrr, you can duplicate your background layer before playing the action. But i dont think it works for all the actions.Â
ohh finally, i was expecting a psd's tumblr from you, i love your editions ♡. i have a question: how can you quit an action without closing the file? please i have never known how to do it. thanks ♡♡♡
